I don't really have a lot to add that hasn't been written already, but I'd also like to write a few words because it was such a pleasant concert in Chester.
"Sacris Solemnis" was one of the highlights for me. It was nice to be able to hear the different voices spread out on the stage, with the high ...

Re: Uk Christmas concert 1st December 2024
I have to admit the booking situation was a lot better this year. Only the first row was already completely gone when the regular ticket sale started, but there were some tickets available in all other rows. What a pleasant surprise. :)
Also good to see that the regular sale is going quite well so ...

Re: Uk Christmas concert 1st December 2024
No, not that terrible procedure again. :(
I wish they would never sing again at this venue which has such a broken ticket system. There are so many beautiful English churches where they could hold their concert instead.
Of course, I will give it a try on July 8 and maybe there's a chance that ...

Re: Forever (Spring 2023)
Welcome to Libera Dreams! Please continue feeling inclined to post here :D You were at SJSS?! Amazing and I'm jealous. I so hope they sing this piece in the US in July. Was this your favorite song at that concert or were there others that you enjoyed more? :)
I apologize for completely ...

Re: 2023 - Two UK Concerts in December
Patrons & friends of St John's don't have a limit on the number of tickets they can purchase. I think you are confusing the number of free tickets they get for lunchtime concerts.
The supposition that parents have bought many of the tickets is because for past concerts, Patrons didn't seem that ...

Re: 2023 - Two UK Concerts in December
I am wondering where the assumption that the seats have been taken by family members comes from. Is there someone with inside information on this forum?
To me it looks like the seats where regularly bought up by patron members of SJSS during the presale phase before the general sale commenced. Of ...

Re: 2023 - Two UK Concerts in December
I also remember that last year it was quite difficult to get premium tickets for the Christmas concert at SJSS, but with lots of luck I still managed to get a good seat. This year the premium seats and even a lot of the seats further back already sold out during prebooking. So in order to get a nice ...

Re: Forever (Spring 2023)
Ave Verum Corpus. Well, what can I say? I've mentioned it enough already, that for me, Freddie's solo performance of this at SJSS is the best solo I have ever heard live at a Libera concert. I was surprised to discover that this is not unanimous, I have heard dissenting voices in this regard, but ...
