Yes, the conversion is done automatically. I use my VISA card in the UK all the time. Depending on your bank, you may be charged a foreign exchange fee (about 1%).

Well, I hope the shows were good :D . Yes, they were! :D I almost went to the service (Patrick and the other fans from the French forum tried hard to persuade me) but it just didn't feel right for me, not being religious and all. I understand. I'm not the most religious person in the world. My inte...

Yes, it was a bit frustrating not to be able to attend, but I had spent a lot of money (> £100) for theatre tickets for Saturday matinee and evening shows and I didn't feel like losing that amount of money. The atmosphere at the church was bittersweet. There were tears as people said goodbye to the...

Rich, were you at Arundel? Were you the guy I chatted with who said he was Tom's friend? No. I made these plans to visit the UK several months ago, before the concert was announced. Due to prior plans on Saturday, I was not able to attend the concert, but instead, planned to attend services at St. ...

I'm happy to say that a packed St Philips Church gave the Vicar a warm send off this morning after 27 years of leading the church. In what was one of the nicest services I've experienced in my years visiting St Philips, a full choir sang beautifully and at the very end, sang 'Deep Peace', lead by St...

I have not personally been to the church but i know people who do and St Phillips normally have more people in the choir on Sundays than people actually watching. They are not hugely popular at the church and neither is the church. Sadly, this is true. I remember the Vicar saying that sometimes he ...

Flora, I've been visiting the church for years during my semi-annual trips to the UK. In fact, I'll be there on the 16th. The locals are most welcoming, so no need for any qualms. :D Rich Oh, on the 16th. There's this post in another thread saying that Libera won't be singing in the services on tha...

Thank you all for your opinions about visiting the church! I have qualms about being around any of the group members in a non-concert setting, but if they're used to seeing new people for services, I might try to work up the nerve! I just wouldn't want to infringe on a preexisting community, and I ...
