Small correction....he became part of the touring group in 2002...

I really like how the boys that contributed small duets within the songs were credited as soloists this time. That is usually not done, I think, and it is very helpful. It gives much deserved recognition to those boys that sing those parts!

That being said I am thrilled to have finally heard Jakob's voice. He is one of my new favorites, along with Stefan, now that the "old guard" is in the stage of bidding farewell to their treble careers. I must also recognize Ralph. I had no idea his voice was so smooth and controlled, and his range is amazing. The transition from low to high in "The Fountain" was flawless.

Grrr.... I'm so eager to listen to the songs from boys I haven't heard before, but I'm determined to hold off from the amazon stream, until I get my hands on the Peace CD. Hurry up postman!!

His debut on screen 'All things Bright and Beautiful was filmed in 2001, but broadcast in 2002' so maybe we're both right

Tom Cully the Great lives on! w00t! I'm so glad he got one last gorgeous, gorgeous hurrah with the type of song that he is best at.

We've all known RP tends to pick a few lead boys, and it sure is looking great for Stefan Leadbeater, isn't it? He's looking to be the next head soloist by my reckoning.

I was so shocked Touch the Sky was not Kavanna! Wow, so many surprises.

I also agree that Stefan is my new favorite soloist. His voice is so incredibly smooth and rich in Deep Peace.

I haven't listened to the other full tracks in Amazon of new soloists yet so I'll reserve my judgment (although I loved Stefan's concert solo).

Right now, the voice that truly captivates me is Ralph Skan's. It captivated me the first time I listened to The Fountain and I am so happy to know it's him doing the solo. Love love love that voice.

I am with you there...

Even if I factor out the reverb used as effect, there is still that certain unique texture, smoothness and steadiness to Ralph's delivery - haunting and distant - the kind of delivery you need on a song whose mood is similar to that of "Do not stand", "We are the Lost", "Ave Maria (Schubert)" or "Always with You".

No, not lives on... Sings forever!!! Sings for you!!!

His top note in "Ave Virgo" is six to eight notes below the High C's we have been accustomed to hearing from him but the loss of range did nothing to the beauty of the voice.

He needs to entertain thoughts of a solo album.

I'm a big fan of Ralph's. I can't wait to hear his solo. He's got to get some reward for the everlasting, always ready, smile he has, and his fan-friendly demeanour.

I thought so too, it doesn't matter how high you can sing, really.. it's the clarity and emotions. Personally, i'm a fan of lower voices..like how Ralph sings in The Fountain, but mini Ben's high notes in Time have made me speechless as well.

and I must say Daniel's soloing is not bad at all! Nice even tone. Stefan is definitely going to be another lead to add to the greats. I just cannot wait to see more form ALL of them! There is NEVER a bad batch of soloists!

Thanks! That's my latest magnum opus

I have not heard some of the songs, in which Daniel did the solo..so i wonder if his voice is similar to one of the older boys.
Agree about Ralph being favourite soloist, so far he's at the top of my list.
