For Josh, Liam, JB, and Mini Ben. I believe this would be their last time performing in the Philippines. Thank you Libera for bringing them back one more time. Mabuhay!

Greetings from Manila! The boys touched down a while ago. Libera has quite some "competition" with the Black Eyed Peas giving their concert on the same night. But with 95% of tickets already sold nothing to worry about. I checked out a local CD store today, to get my Christmas album. They say they're selling about 5 CDs a day, which I think is pretty good? From what I heard Sam has to study that's why he stayed at home.

Sam is in 6th Form or College so surprised by that reason. His course load you think would not be that heavy as he is has only been back 5/6 weeks.

I'm thinking the same, so it safe to say that the 15-16 year old fellas would most probably be out whence they ever come back here in the Pines? :!: It's a shame that I can't go to the M&G, at least to be able to interact with the possible graduating ones.

The hype is starting to go full swing tomorrow with their performance in ASAP. Two days to go!!!

Hi, Mike! Glad you had a safe trip there! :D

There's also a David Foster & Friends concert with Charice, Ashanti, Russel Watson and Michael Bolton that night. Glad to hear the Libera concert is selling well despite all the competition. :D

There's supposed to be an Autograph Signing after the Manila concert. Can you go to that and meet them?

We all know it happens and no point in dwelling too much as it is the nature of the beast and why libera don't like you getting attracted to 1 or two members as the boys do not get paid , have school and various other actitivies going on and Freddie's just gone in secondary school and lived about 30 mins away from Norbury so may not of been practical to continue.
Although these are all good points, lets keep in mind that Josh, for example, was gone for three months and all of us thought that he was gone for good, but he came back, and the same thing kinda happened with JB... so let's not completely loose faith yet! Libera is not their whole lives, and things come up that interrupt tours and other Libera things that they may want to do

Really, why are we all being so death and doom here?! Ben and Liam are only 15, and JB and Josh are VERY valuable to the choir, and it seems to me that Rob knows this... Plus, we have heard numerous times that(thankfully!) boys are never kicked out of Libera...PLUS, Some of the boys and Rob have both said that they are trying to encorperate more of the older boy's voices into their music, seeing as they really are beautiful  :D . And I think that this also applies to Sam. Lighten up guys! It's not over.... :D :D

Nobody thought Josh was gone for good on here, majority knew he would have time off for his GCSE's . James is gone. He has been gone since the Summer. Freddie has now missed two events so the writing is on the wall. Jacob its doubtful he has left as his whole family are in the group and seem to stay forever  so i would say he is busy.

I honestly dont get the big deal , its like they have died or something. Enjoy what time you got with them as Libera and move on. Its not the end of Libera.

The problem you have is Josh and Sam and JB are 16/17 and what happens if they dont leave ? , what happens to boys like Daniel , Alex , Jacob who will then join the back row. Some boys have to bow out so the next generation join the back row. Or soon it will be more back row than trebles

Its logical that at some stage that they have to leave. Nobody has ever stayed as long as Josh and Sam and it will be sad when they leave but others will replace them.

Libera posted this on FB an hour ago:
''Thanks for the warm welcome to the Philippines. Look out for us on ASAP Rocks later on today. We will then be making an appearance at The Block, SM Mall, North EDSA at 4.00 to sign autographs''
Regarding the comments on FB, I don't think it's Sam who wrote the first comment. But I do agree that a few might be sleepy today :)

All I can say is that that everyone(including myself) will think differently about this... It may matter more to certain people and less to others...we are all entitled to share our thoughts  8)

During their first tour to Korea in April 2005, were they performed in concerts and appeared on TV they took a considerably older and more substantial backrow; Sam Coates, Steven Geraghty and Ben Crawley were all 17 at the time, plus there were a few 15 & 14yr olds. So although the backrow has lengthened somewhat in recent times compared to previous years, it's not completely groundbreaking.

Edit: On Friday 8th April 2005 at Blizt concert arena in Yokohama, Steven Geraghty stood down from the stage for his last appearance as a singing member of the all boy vocal group Libera. At 17yrs & 264 days he holds the record for the oldest performing Libera boy to take part in active service....i.e. singing in the libera white robe. To put this into context Josh would still need to be performing as a member of Libera on or past the date of 16th July 2012 to equal Steven's record.

As to this, I understand that eventually they will have to leave, but I just don't think it has to be just yet. If you have heard Josh's solo on Coventry Carol, and some of the other older boy's solos on the Christmas album, I think that you would realise just how mystical and beautiful their voices still are :D Just because their voices are lower doesn't mean that they can't still be soloists, and can't still have incredible voices. I know that treble is deffinatly the main sound of Libera, and that is great :D , but that doesn't mean it has to be the only sound. I think that the lower voices add just as much power and meaning to their songs as the treble voices do. Sure, they are in the back row, but we have all seen how many newbies have recently joined, and I don't think there is any chance of the back row becoming bigger than the treble line  If they want to stay, let them stay! I'm at least glad that they are still with us :D ...as I think we all are!

I have found a live stream to see the show Asap Rocks live :)

Image

I have embedded it on the French forum.
I can't do it here as Libera Dreams don't accept HTML posts.
http://libera-passion.exprimetoi.net/t7 ... -tour-2011" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Don't forget to click on the "Spoiler" link to open the video .
The show starts at 12:15 PM Manila time, which is 6:15 AM Paris Time or 05:15 AM London time (I hope I'm not mistaking, do your own check ;) )

I hope the person sharing this stream will let it online till the end of the show :)
The show is running 3 hours long.

For those who would like to chat while watching the Libera performance, I have also opened the Chatbox on the French forum.

(open it on another window and arrange your two windows browser to have both the video and the chat ;) )
