Right the moment you've all been waiting for......

But first I need to fess up to a booboo. It was not my intention to have the same clip twice. The same song, yes, but with two different singers (Salva Me). However, a mistake popped in and unfortunately clip 5, which should have been Libera by Adam Harris, was wrongly included as Lux Aeterna. I can only assume that when I redid the video to add longer pauses between clips I inadvertently linked the wrong clip. Mea Culpa.

Thankfully, the mistake has not had an affect on the outcome of the competition. Anyway, here you go:

1) Salva Me – Liam O’Kane – Libera
2) Sanctus – Ed Day – Angel Voices
3) Ave Maria - Ed Day – Leiden DVD
4) Going Home – Josh Madine – Leiden CD
5) Lux Aeterna – Adam Harris – Libera
6) Far Away –Tom Cully– Leiden CD
7) How Can I Keep – Josh Madine– Eternal
8 ) Ave Virgo – Tom Cully – Peace
9) The Lamb – Ben Philipp – New Dawn
10) Lacrymosa – Ben Crawley – Luminosa
11) Stay With Me – Joe Platt – Free
12) Eternal Light – Stefan Leadbeater– Peace
13) Do Not Stand – Ben Crawley – Eternal
14) Gaudette – Sam Coates – Luminosa
15) We Are The Lost – Michael H- Visions
16) Dies Irae – Steven Geraghty – Libera
17) Sancte – Liam Connery – Eternal
18) Panis Angelicus – Daniel F – Peace
19) Sing the Story – Luke Collins – Christmas
20) Jubilate Deo – Jakob DMW – Christmas
21) When a Knight – Joe Platt – Free
22) Tallis’s Cannon – Ed Day – New Dawn
23) Rest in Peace – Tom Cully – New Dawn
24) Sing For Ever – Michael H – Visions
25) Song Of Life – Ralph Skan – Song Of Life
26) A New Heaven – Anthony Chadney – Free
27) Abide with Me –James Vereycken – Angel Voices
28) Salva Me – Tom Cully – Angel Voices
29) Lux Aeterna – Adam Harris – Libera
30) Vespera – Steven Geraghty - Luminosa

We'll be contacting the winners very soon.

Thanks for taking part or taking an interest. The whole idea was just to have some fun and get people looking at the forum and I hope it did that. Finally, thanks to Libera for the prizes.

Happy New Year to you all

Reason: removed the amazingly lenghty quote ;)
dolorosa, flumenosa, desolata, lacrimabila-
the water sighs for me
Through teardrops now I see
The streaming water knows
The fountain overflows

To cry for all, to wash all sorrows in waves of peace and love
Free my thirsty soul again
O living fountain

Pirouettes! ;)

Thanks for this. I'm actually surprised about the ones I guessed wrong  (eight in total if I counted correctly)
I wonder what the results are!

mmmm... other than the 6 I didn't return answers for;

4x nil points (both song and soloist incorrect)
7x 1 points for correctly naming the song but not the soloist
12x 2 points for correctly naming song and soloist

So total = 31/60

Verdict: C+ acceptable but could have done better.

Oh sorry, I forgot, I too had two clips where I got the song right but not the singer. Which makes my score:

8 x nil points
2 x 1 point (song correct but not the singer)
20 x 2 points (both song and singer correct)

Total: 42/60

(Unless I made a mistake in comparing my results with what I actually sent in)

A bit disappointed that I didn't do better because I was quite sure on some of my answers, but it was fun anyway. Congrats to the winners, and I hope the organizers decide to do a competition like this again. :)

Looks like you very much succeeded – how many entries were there in total? I certainly had a great time (having an even better time right now), although, I must say, not exactly thanks to your extensive commentary on my answers before the results came in.
