When attempting to upload a sound file either mp3 or wav I get a message saying the extension is not allowed. Further googling reveals it may need to be activated by the board of directors (admin).
Obviously exe's may pose a security risk but i'm not why sound files are on the list of exclusions - unless it's a default setting.

Makes sense I suppose, those reasons are valid. Could this be moderated same as spam messages i.e. if it breaches the rules, then remove the link? Although saying that most of what I and other people share is infringing copyright in some form or another. We all share material we do not have exclusive rights to.
It's not such a big problem at the end of the day, just would have been easier to post a small soundbite within the message instead of uploading it separately away from the forum.
