Matilda the Musical

Post by Yorkie »

Whilst down in London last weekend I took in a few shows one of which was the highly acclaimed Matilda The Musical. I had been told that it was a must see for about a year but it took me a while to organise. Anyway, it is billed as a kids show and whilst it is kid friendly it works very well for adults too (as long as there is still a bit of the big kid in you somewhere).

There are some good songs in the show so I thought I'd post my favourites; some are songs from the studio album of the show but where I can I've tried to find live versions to give an idea of how the numbers are staged.

And finally the greatest monologue in history! You can keep your Shakespeare's and your Oscar Wilde's, this here is where it is at:

A great show and I hope it remains around for many years to come.
If I’ve got owt to say I says it, and if I’ve got owt to ask I asks it.
