Since it was during the rehearsals that they all answered "yes" when asked whether they were freezing, maybe they did wear something a little warmer during the live performance. Or maybe the arena warms up a little with a crowd in the building.alcesalcesobservator wrote:I don't know why they couldn't wear something warm underneath their robes.Robolib7 wrote:Thanks for posting this.
Guess the white robes won't keep you very warm in a cold arena!

Thank you Patrick, I was so mesmerized by the skating, I watch all 43 minutes. Now I am very keen to learn Japanese so I can understand it.fan_de_LoK wrote:A Japanese fan uploaded the whole unedited 43 minutes show in good quality

Libera is concerned a bit at 15'10'', then from 23'40'' to 27'00'' and from 31'30'' to 36'15''.

Beautiful! I think that is one of my favourites. I'm excited to hear it!Surpinto wrote:The cover for the new mini-CD has been announced.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. Looks like the small group enjoyed its time.
Re: Collaboration with Mao Asada
Thought this might be the right place to post. Just came across Jorik Hendrickx using a minute of Voca Me in his 2017 freestyle figure skating routine, here in January, but also later in April at the Worlds in Helsinki. It's from about 2:50-3:50. Rather dramatic, since there's a nice choral buildup right before it comes in. Then it blends back in to the other song.
On his Wikipedia site, the first chart listing choreography has "Voca Me - Libera's".

Re: Collaboration with Mao Asada
If I sat there in the audience and suddenly heard a Libera piece, I would consist of goosebumps a 100 %. And then Voca Me of all others!
Did you notice how Jorik Hendrickx, at 3:36, after his jump landed exactly on the tone starting the theme again? Amazing, wow!
I also liked the transition of the music before to Voca Me, it fit well, but not the one afterwards, it didn't sound coherent to my ears.

Voca Me is one of my most favorite Libera songs, nice choose Jorik Hendrickx. I have no knowledge about figure skating whatsoever, so I'm just gonna say he looks beautiful doing it.
I agree with you on this.filiarheni wrote: ↑7 years ago but not the one afterwards, it didn't sound coherent to my ears.

I've watched it again with more attention: Watch and listen 3:16 - 3:18.
I think I would have choreographed it differently, but how he does is good.
I only don't understand why there are those distracting drum sounds at the beginning of Voca Me.

I believe the drums are to sound like a heartbeat. And yes, it seems like they could have done a better job at the transition out of Voca Me - it was rather awkward.filiarheni wrote: ↑7 years ago I've watched it again with more attention: Watch and listen 3:16 - 3:18.

But at least Libera gets some more exposure. Maybe a few people looked up the song and the group.

Yes, absolutely. I find them strange at this point of the music.
I always admire how people find these things. How did you find the video?

An earlier video of the performance was taken down, here is a different upload:
I absolutely love this arrangement, it is one of their finest moments, I think, and the combination with the elegant skating is just sheer beauty.
