Is libera coming to florida

There has to be over a foot of snow and it has to be below 0 farenheit in order to get a snow day here!

I usually won't think of staying home from work unless there are at least 5 to 6 inches on the road. Alot of schools around here though get the day off as soon as there is even a forcast for snow.

I agree though that if a city, such as London, are not used to snow and don't have the equipment to handle it, I can see why there would be such an issue.

I would need a couple of feet of snow in my hall to stop me getting into work !!

... I work from home and have an office downstairs. No fear of me missing work

Yup, I have a similar situation... I don't usually need to leave to house to have to do school work! It can be quite annoying, when you really would like a snow day... They never seem to come around

Yup, actually I am. It is nice though, when it snows on Tuesday's, because that is the day I have classes at other places.

but wait...you said you had school at other places on Tuesdays?!...liar! you are no true homeschooler! You go to a 1 day a week classical academy where they load you up with homwork on one day and give you the rest of the week to complete it! lol Some of my friends go to a 2 day classical academy..they hate it

Hi Illuminaperpetua, I don't think that homeschooling is allowed in Ireland (not entirely sure) but who determines your curriculum, set's your schedule and set's/corrects exam's or course work? How does all that work?

We don't even get snow. The only non-holiday days off we get are hurricane days and we only get 5 of those a year. So if a hurricane comes and we have to close the schools for more that 5 days, they shorten the summer holidays.

They can't shorten the summer hols at my school because we have two language trips that leave two days after school lets out. (Chinese and German)

i like my summer holidays, we get from mid july to september of so there long but the weather isnt always good so if you get stuck in doors its a bit boring but hey better than college work

Haha, I'm not lying! I just go to a friend's house for a geography class and a Spanish class

But I do get loaded up with geography and Spanish homework, if that counts... I don't think one of the classical academy's would agree with me. I enjoy the freedom of homeschooling as far as picking and choosing what to study, within the guidelines!

Anyways, I am glad you are a true homeschooler as those are rather scarce...particularly here. But then there aren't many people where I live

Nope, classical academies are TER-RI-BLE!!!! Besides, we're sooo smarticle we're too good for them!
