I may not have lived long but I can tell you it doesn't get better! it can only get worse...just look at my mother!carina_gino20 wrote:It's similar to the one where Liam O'Kane does the solo, but Josh starts off in a lower octave, I think. They also changed some of the lyrics.
This is the lyrics to this version:
My life flows on in endless song
Above earth's lamentation.
I hear the real though far-off hymn
That hails a new creation.
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that rock I'm clinging
Since love is lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?
I lift my eyes, the cloud grows thin;
I see the blue above it;
And day by day this pathway smoothes,
Since first I learned to love it.
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart,
A fountain ever springing;
All things are mine since I am his,
How can I keep from singing?
Remember this was written in the middle of the 19th century, they had a whole different outlook on things. It was written by a Baptist preacher, so when he speaks about "this pathway" he may mean his faith or his calling.

Re: How Can I Keep From Singing
How can I keep from singing is one of my favourite songs. It has a very unusual timing which gives it a very interesting feel, which appeals to the musician in me.
