Re: Summer Concerts 2022 - Brighton & Chichester
Having new songs after Ely that was just 2 months ago is a great and pleasant surprise
Perhaps a bit more of 'blending' would improve this one, don't you think ?
A new music, a new position and it seem some new faces, isn't it ?

Looks like Victor and Koji are back row.
Yes, I agree there are new faces. A red hair one on the left side I do not recognised...
Edit : and others I cannot spot. But I guess some boys might miss a rehearsal or two. Can't spot Daniel C or little Joseph Hill for example...

Agree with all you pointed.
Interesting to see that the new boys are taller than the usual mini-boys. it can be sign of great performances to come from them. Remember when we saw the already tall Dominik for the 1st time at Ely Cathedral 2018 ?

Thinking about it...
No real surprise about Koji. His voice was already quite low during his speech in Ely.
For Victor, it may mean that 'Once and Angel' will not be performed Or not by him...
No Daniel C means no 'Angele Dei'. Sad. There was room for improvement in Ely, and I was interested to appreciate the changes in two months of time.
On the other hand it seems Daniel can still sing some high notes, so hopefully we will have 'If' again
... for the last times probably
Re: Summer Concerts 2022 - Brighton & Chichester
I do not think the boys missing here will necessarily be missing during this tour, though it is a possibility of course because they might enjoy family holiday.
Yes I agree that the new boys might be on stage right away. They would not be rehearsing the movements if they were just miniboys, would they ?
About Once an angel, I sure hope it will be performed, I would like to hear Freddie singing the solo, maybe.

They're spending the week preparing at their favorite summer hangout in Bournemouth.
Some boys may not have been able to attend so it's probably not the final concert cast.
Victor didn't stay in the back row so perhaps we shouldn't lose hope quite yet.
And... was that Isaac London popping into view in the very last frame?

Is that Cameron doing the high notes?
I am extremely excited for the concerts. I was not expecting many changes from Ely so a new song is a lovely surprise. I hope it helps boost ticket sales

Looks more like Nathaniel to me.Luckdragon wrote: ↑2 years ago

I wonder if they will ever manage to perform "Venite Adoremus" or "Three Ravens" in a concert? Those are my two favorite tracks from the "Hope" album. However, I think both of them present serious challenges for a live performance.

Fingers crossed

You can be sure, there is no doubts it is Nathaniel, in a new role for him.
How time flies... I remember seeing him as a new mini-boy and now he's backstage.
It's a nice method to allow the big boys a soft transition when they have to leave the stage, to remain involved in the choir for a while if they wish.

Some don't just stay a while but become a core part of the technical or music team as is the case with Sam and Steven, and a number of others. It's amazing that Libera means so much to them that they have stayed on so many years after to run the organization. Of course we all know that but I still find it really cool!
