Yes. Free was released on September 27, 2004 so the 20th anniversary is coming up.
Yes, I'm well aware. "Free" was the first album I ever purchased of Libera back in 2004 when it was released. I just wanted confirmation from those who attended that it was in fact the same song. Looks like it was indeed the same one.

Oh, and happy 20th anniversary of being a Libera fan to me I guess
Yes it was the same Twighlight - 1st ever in concert.
Thank you! How was the rest of the concert and the new songs? Looking forward to reading the reviews of all who care to share their impressions! :D But please no rush as I know it's late over there by now.

I think the new brother is Caius Agyei, a younger brother to Cory. Not sure if Jerome Collins is a younger brother to former choristers Luke, Jude, Gabriel and Samuel-Francis Collins.

EIGHT newbies is surely a record, but then eight have gone since the Christmas concerts.

Glad to see Daniel still there, but disappointed that Laurence Davey hasn’t returned. Looks like he hung up his white robe after last October’s Japan tour.
As expected all the Bigs from last year have gone, along with Ethan Barron.

Sad to see Oskar Hanstveit absent and hope it’s not permanent.

I’m always amazed at how much boys can change between the ages of 11-13. Clearly from the images Nathan, Cameron, and Morgan have had huge growth spurts since Christmas, and it’ll be interesting to see where they are come Christmas 2024. Have to keep reminding myself that Thomas M is the same age as those boys at 13.

The song was almost certainly 'One Small Voice' - don't trust AI.
Interesting. The piano piece was written in C-minor but perhaps Sam changed it to E-flat minor to fit Libera's style better. I'm looking forward to hearing it someday.

37 boys on stage, composed in 3 groups:

- 4 bigs, they were on stage for almost all the songs: Daniel, Ludwik, Frederick M and Jack.

- 26 main group, that performed all the songs. One of them is new, Jerome Collins.
One is missing compared to recent concerts: Oskar H. As he was still performing with the group in May, it could be just a one-off absence.

-7 mini-boys, they performed about 2/3 of the songs.

Back to this post on instagram,

- The boy on the 1st photo is Jerome C. He is new but he is already in the main group. Should he went through the mini-boy stage, that was fast for him.

- The start of music score on the bottom of the 3rd photo is the very intro of 'One Small Voice' and this part is performed by Ben. Right after you have the same intro of 4 notes performed in a lower tune by Frederick H. Then Julian has a solo, then Joseph has one. The song ends as it started, with Ben and Frederic H singing the 4 notes visible on the score.

Solo of the night for me goes to Lewis Q for a captivating Ave Maria. I was never a huge fan of the RP version... but Lewis could make me a believer...

Also loved One Small Voice!

At last. So happy for Lewis because he has pretty much had to wait until other trebles had voice changes to get his chance. But from what I heard of him at Christmas I was astonished that he’d never had much in the way of soloing opportunities because he’s a strong performer with a bell like voice. Like Freddie M and Mitchel last year Lewis Q may only have a short amount of time to shine as a treble.

I seem to recall a situation a few years ago that led me to believe he preferred not to do solos. If that's the case, I'm glad he changed his mind in time for some of us to hear what a nice voice he has.

I was serious when I asked if Jerome could be a Collins brother, then I did some math: Luke shold be 25/26! Sadly, it also seems the Nathan is no longer a soloist, and that Victor, Koji and Mathias are gone for good. They grow up fast and loosing the track of time is aeasy.

Can’t wait!!

Let’s hope Luca gets at least one solo on this new album. Seems so weird (and a littlr sad) to see a concert programme without his name next to a solo. Hope I’m wrong but I get the feeling we may not see much more of him as a Libera chorister after these summer concerts.

Not at all surprised to see Joseph dominating the soloing. They’ve been gearing him up for it for nigh on two years, and his brother Ben also. I understand it, but I hope they don’t miss the opportunity to let other boys shine too. Thomas M is clearly well thought of in his other choir, but had limited opportunities at this concert. Same goes for Hal.

I called it last year that Nathan wouldn’t be a first treble for much longer. I could hear that he was at his peak at Christmas. See that he got a duet in From a Distance, so is he now at the 3rd treble/alto range?

Also, is this the first UK concert in well over a decade that Steven Geraghty is not involved in?

Nice to see Tadhg’s back as stage management, but no surprise that Ben Bywater is absent as he’ll be doing A level exams.

Best Wishes to Victor, Matty, Koji, Alex, Laurence D and Laurence T. 🥺🍀

I'm trying to avoid reading too much before Chester and Lincoln, but had a few "leaks" and saw that Twilight or at least its music :P is part of the set list. I'm SO very happy about it, this was a long, longing wish of mine which finally has come true. How many days until Chester?!? :D  :D

I second you.
