The things we miss by living in this cultural wasteland.

Italy again! If anyone is the area, it should be worth checking out!

A week ago I decided to go along to the London Oratory Chamber Choir concert at St James Sussex Gardens. They had been due to tour in Spain, which had to be cancelled because of the Crowdstrike chaos. They had a programme primarily centred around Haydn's Nelson Mass. (and were offering free Pimms to drink)

I was immensely surprised to discover they are a choir with a very impressive quality. I had assumed that the Schola Cantorum would take the cream of the crop but there was some lovely singing from them. I was particularly impressed by the two sopranos singing, sisters Hannah and Elizabeth who sang their solos fantastically. This choir is now on my concerts watchlist, and the Millett sisters in particular are ones to look out for in the future. Note the choir was half-strength on the day.
