I can't say I love this particular track, but it's just good enough that I won't skip over it. I felt like the introduction could've been different. It just didn't click with me. I do like the how the momentum and volume build in the latter part of the song, and the low voices in the middle part. Overall, I wouldn't use this track if I was trying to interest a non-Libera fan in their music, but it's okay.

I keep thinking that the soloist on "Dido's Lament" has to be a late-stage treble voice and not Joseph. I could be wrong since I haven't been to any concerts, but it just sounds too different to me. You could imagine the soloist saying not to forget them when their treble voice dies. Just kidding!

Actually, when I first listened to the tracks, I thought Nathan might be the soloist for Dido's Lament... but the voice sounds a bit different from the Going Home soloist, and I am more certain that one is Nathan. I am still not sure it is Joseph, but I guess we will see!

We'll see I guess. Joseph shows a pretty strong low range voice in "One Small Voice". So, I suppose it's reasonable that he could be the soloist on this piece.

We totally whiffed on Thomas, but I think the group did pretty well despite Joseph's rapid voice development.

Thanks to Yumiko-san for the photo.
It comes from the new fan club yearbook obviously.

I write here the soloists list in text for convenience.

Thank you for writing it out like that - I was really struggling to make out the picture. Very interesting and I'll say no more than that as I know some people may want to wait for the album.

It's surprising that only one soloist is credited for 'Once'.
In the short audio clip available on the official site, two voices can clearly be heard singing in unison during parts of the second verse.

Perhaps it was decided that this wasn't enough to warrant an additional soloist credit?
Or could it be that the same soloist's voice has been technically doubled?

Hopefully the song will be performed live on stage someday, to clear it up.

I have wondered about this in other cases where there are clearly 2 voices but no second soloist credited eg In Paradisum, Once An Angel, Far Away. Particularly with Far Away on Forever where they were otherwise very assiduous about crediting their soloists - Daniel gets mentioned for the harmony vocals on A Grateful Heart and he, Victor and Morgan are all for their part in the end quartet of Lighthouse. oist. The conclusion I came to was your last option - because it was recorded in the studio, the soloist was able to sing both melody and harmony. I've no idea if that's right or not but it does seem odd that they'd credit some harmony soloists and not others.

Thanks for the list Patrick, much easier than the badly taken photo.

Re Once - surely that must be performed live. I'd think it would be perfect for the Japanese concerts.

The soloist recording both parts would be my guess too. Not uncommon in pop songs to do it that way.
