Well this music video was released sooner than the original time allotted but I'm not going to complain I guess they reconfigured the release date during the brief window when the video was down.

Anyway, it seems the mystery is solved, that it's not a green screen after all but just a video of them recording in the studio much like what they did with Sing for our World. In fact the only reason the blue curtains look green is because of the early morning (maybe early evening) light shining through.

Anyway, I like this earworm song and the video gives us a nice behind-the-scenes look at their recording studio work. I especially liked that all of the multiple soloists were given adequate camera time during their respective solos, as well as lots of shots of the choir as a whole showing just how much of a team effort these productions really are.

I think they changed it because 4 of the boys were appearing on the 6:00 news and they wanted to capitalize on that.

Although the video was definitely filmed at that school in Bournemoth, it appears to be from 2023. No Archie, Tadgh, Jerome, or Max yet.

The mystery about a green screen is not related to the green curtain at all !
There was a picture on amazon about the album, at some point, which very clearly and without a doubt showed a green screen. And it's not the same as the curtain !

Have not watched the video yet I'll come back !

While they don't always include every boy in recording every song, especially the mini boys, there is absolutely no way that this video was recorded in 2023. While we can't speak to exactly when the audio was recorded, the video is certainly more recent than what you're saying. Among the many pieces of evidence, the boys look older than they did in 2023 and closer to how they looked in the summer concerts in the UK.

A nice little video, good song. In the US there is link to a UNICEF collection but I can't donate because it requires a Zip code for the credit card can I ask if there is a a similar link in the UK? Not had much success with a VPN.

Nice! The VPN thing with LDF could be a spam blocking move blocking known VPN IP addresses to prevent the spam posting we experienced a few years ago. Remember when hoards of weird trolls registered here to promote their cure-all vitamins and other nonsense? Good times....not.

You are correct (as usual).

Although Jerome was pictured at the April recording of Seabird in London, and the boys I mentioned were in the summer UK concerts, none of them went to Bournemoth in August and thus didn't appear in any of those videos. They are only in "Once", the video filmed in Japan.

Even more puzzling (for me) than figuring out the timeline, is figuring out why Happy Xmas has been unlisted after 3,700 views.

Thank you so much for taking care of this for us! Definitely a nice interview and the boys are just as disciplined in answering as they were when Robert did interviews with them years ago. Now obviously none of the current boys being interviewed would have been prepped for radio or television by Robert so obviously Sam has got that covered.

It's not easy being me. To be fair though, I can understand how our understanding of the timeline of their video and audio recordings can become muddled given that they are done in stages. For example, had they recorded "Sea Bird" in summer Luca would not have been the soloist. The only way we know that it was for sure recorded a good deal prior to summer is simply because we know he has stepped back from Libera duties to some extent. That being said, not all things are nearly that obvious or clear. Another example, if they did the recording of that video in summer in Bournemouth then why was Luca there and not on tour? But these are not necessarily answers that we are privy too – or even ought to be privy to. But it certainly creates some confusion when trying to figure out when things were done.
