If you're still in London on the Tuesday following the Libera concert, the Bratislava Boys Choir will perform a free Christmas concert at 5:30 PM December 3, 2024 at Our Lady of La Salette and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bermondsey, London.

This is a rare opportunity to see a boy choir from Eastern Europe in London, so try to attend if you can!

A very nice rendition of "Pueri Concinite".

Reminds me of when I saw WSK ago before their Christmas concerts in the US became less palatable. They had a soloist who sang that very piece so beautifully I was really awe-struck – he was even better than this kid! I recall that he told us he was originally not from Austria, or even Europe, but Canada!

It's a difficult solo that has really dropped out of popularity among boy choirs as the movie (Les Choristes) fades into history. Bratislava is the only choir I know that still trains soloists to sing that song (and Caressé sur l'océan), and then only in big productions where they have an orchestra.

Pueri Concinite has no connection with the movie Les Choristes. Apart from the fact that Jean-Baptiste Maunier sang it with his choir.

EDIT : I just finished watching it, thank you for sharing ! I had the same highlights, plus "Mary's Boy Child" which was really lovely !
