Favourite Libera Members?

Post by danieb88 »

Hey everyone,
There hasnt been a topic like this for a while and I wondered which members we all liked? I know its not good to single them out because the whole point is they are amazing as a group but everyone has a soft spot for at least one of them! It would be nice to try and include one of the newbies in your list as well :)

My top 3 are Tom Cully, Stefan Leadbeater and Liam Connery

Let me know what you all think!

Tom Cully , Ben Philipp and or Freddie Ingles or Ralph Skan
Freddie because he sings good with enthusiasm
Ralph Skan because he smiles like Josh so friendly

Is it all time favourate (including past members) or current favourate only?
'Let me go where'er I will,
I hear a sky-born music still:
It sounds from all things old,
It sounds from all things young,
From all that's fair, from all that's foul,
Peals out a cheerful song.'

in the older generations i like Tom cully and ed day
and the new boys as i heard in the concert in arundel, i think i must say Daniel and Flynn
When you miss me just look up to the night sky and remember, I'm like a star; sometimes you can't see me, but I'm always there.

Steven G is the best boy soloest ever so he would be my fav from old generation.

This Generation gotta be Liam Connery. He is just so amazing. And i still think its a shame because of Tom being lead solost for so long he has not been given enough songs for such a talent.

Up and Coming boys

Stefan Leadbeater , Daniel and i think Flynn given time will all prove again what the members of Libera can do.

Also Special mention to Joe Snelling who we never saw what he could fully do which is a shame.

Flynn is really "animated" when he's singing. He nods his head and open his mouth wide and he sings with great enthusiasm.

Kavana is really adorable too, and his amazing high notes totally blows me away.

Josh for his signature smile! :D He brightens up my day!

Tom for all his great solos, especially "Do not stand at my grave and weep".

Micheal H. cos he's amazing too, even when he sings the lower parts now.

Callum cos he's always looking out for the younger ones.

And yes, Joe S. too. His voice is soft and gentle.

And of course, I like all the Libera boys too! :D

My choice:

Tom Cully, the top on my list
followed by Josh Madine.

When I first listened to Libera, my friend introduced me Josh because she likes Josh the most, but after listening to their performance of Sanctus in a TV show, I was blown away by Tom's voice. Of course his cute personality behind the scene, too. All Libera boys have great voice, but to me, Tom's voice is the most special. It's clear, angelic, and he seems like telling me story everytime when I listen to his singing. He's smart, humble, funny and sweet. His voice may have changed, but I'm sure he'll be great in the future.

Josh, how could anyone not like his charming smile??Like many ppl have said, when I see his smile, I smile too!I really like him smiling while singing. He makes every song sweeter~and of course, his voice is really gentle and sweet, can really cure my wounds.

I don't think I could choose a favorite (or a few) among the youngsters. They all are far better singers than I am, if only because of far more dedicated practice, and they appear to be a decent, fun-loving bunch.

I do have a lot of admiration for Mr. Prizeman, though. Although we don't frequently get to see much of him (by design), it's clear that he has a real heart for and rapport with the boys. Of course, he's also clearly a good composer/arranger and an effective conductor.

favorite Libera members

CURRENT MEMBERS

Tom Cully, because his personality is so open and fun-loving and he is a legend in Libera having been a treble soloist from ~2002-2009.

Josh Madine, because of his smile! And his sweet and gentle voice. "Secret" and "How Can I Keep From Singing" are my top favorites by Josh. Not to mention "I Am the Day."

Liam Connery, because his voice is awesome! "Sancte" is one of my favorite songs ever.

Mini-Ben, because he seems so funny and cute. And his voice is also so clear; first noticed on "Going Home" in 2007.

Ed Day, because I think he is an "unsung hero" of Libera, not getting nearly as much attention as some of the others. It could be that he's naturally more reserved, but his voice is awesome. I really like his "In Paradisum" from the New Dawn album.

NEWBIES

James Mordaunt, because he's so adorable!

Kavana Crossley, because he has great high notes and looks so animated when he's singing.

Freddie Ingles, because he looks so earnest and cute.

Flynn Marks, because he looks so happy when he is singing.

All of the newbies show a lot of potential, these are just some of my favorites from the recent videos I've seen.

FORMER MEMBERS (including members who are present members of Libera, singing after the voice change)

Steven Geraghty--I haven't listened to a lot of songs by him since the only album I have with him as a soloist is the Luminosa one, but he's awesome there.

Ben Crawley, need I say more? His voice was special. I really like "Attendite" from the Luminosa album by him, as well as "Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep" and "I Am the Day" from Free.

Michael Horncastle, because of the way he looks so happy when he is singing, like he is smiling at something beautiful only he can see. His treble voice was so warm and mellow and "Far Away" was perfect for his voice. I'm sure his new deeper voice is also beautiful.

Joe Snelling, because he showed so much potential and was incredible on "Salva Me" in 2007. It is too bad he is no longer a part of the group but was a valued member while he was there; he made the most of his short time with Libera!

A little bit yes ;)

Aaaaah your not doing this to me again - It was bad enough going through the trauma last time of picking out individual favourites viewtopic.php?t=38

From the newbies, they are all wonderful and adorable in their own ways, but I like the way Flynn punches well above his size/weight for showing expressions of joy when he's singing. Freddie and James M are sweet too, they are two of the youngest, so that helps with the awwww factor.

Ralph comes across very well in the few photo's and video's that we've seen so far of the new members. Beaming smile and very well mannered. Then again they all are.
