Here's a hypothetical question, just for fun. I don't think it's been asked here recently (or indeed quite in this form).
Suppose you were the manager or organizer of a Libera concert, and you could choose any suitable venue (or two or three) you wished. Where would you have them perform? Why?
I can think of many possibilities, but probably top on my list would be the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall (http://www.troymusichall.org/). It has exquisite acoustics and a fine pipe organ (if it's working--I'm not sure that it's in good repair). There's also a bank on the first floor, if you need to withdraw some cash for a ticket.
Middlebury College's auditorium in the Mahaney Center for the Arts is fairly small (375 seats) but wonderful in its own way and likewise has quite good acoustics.
What venues should Libera consider performing in?

Here in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, we have a place called The Forum Theatre. It holds around 2,000 people and has great acoustics. It also sports a wonderful pipe organ that works very well. I've attended concerts there and have performed there many a time myself. It would be perfect for an indoor show as it lends itself well to special lighting effects.

Esplanade in Singapore! Haha. It's dubbed "the durian", its super spacious and can sit more than 1600.
"The hall, boasts superb acoustics and is one of only five such halls in the world with similar state-of-the-art acoustic features. These include reverberation chambers and an acoustic canopy which adapts the hall for different musical performances, producing optimum sound at every concert."

The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach, VA.
http://www.sandlercenter.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
From their website:
"After 6 diligent years, the city completed its architectural masterpiece. The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts was dedicated in November of 2007, and is now not only heralded as one of the region's most stunning structures, but also among the nation's most acoustically sound venues for the arts."
It's a perfect venue for Libera, not only because of state-of-the-art acoustics, but also because it's less than 2 miles from my house.

It sounds from all things young,
From all that's fair, from all that's foul,
Peals out a cheerful song.'

Definitely Royal Thompson Hall here in Toronto.
It seats 2,630 people plus it's known to be a venue for classical music and the lot.

Quote from the movie Copying Beethoven
"The vibrations on the air are the breath of God speaking to man's soul. Music is the language of God. We musicians are as close to God as man can be. We hear his voice, we read his lips, we give birth to the children of God, who sing his praise. That's what musicians are. "
