i feel great! today was a choir concert. our last song was a very beautiful song for treble voices, i thank you God. it's a poem be E cummings. all of the music was so fun to sing, but this last song was just breath taking. the last 5 bars are a steady build up to a powerful major chord that just seems to last forever. the top sopranos were on a "treble C" the VERY high c above the staff. ahhhh. before we even stopped singing the audience was already clapping and out of their seats. it was a great feeling, so i can only imagine how libera feels when that happens to them at every concert haha. if i get a recording i'll share it here.

i feel this week has been one of the hardest weeks. on saturday morning a very close friend passed away. it came as a huge shock to everyone. huge huge shock. many people are heart broken, including myself. a promising 16 year old boy, gone just like that. he was so happy, loving, always smiling, lit up the room, and had a truley kind soul, something that is hard to find now a days.

this might sound cliche, but libera's music is really helping me through this. it's amazing how the soothing nature of the music can clam me down when i'm crying. the song that i find most comforting is faithful heart in the part where it says "storms will come, but we will never part."

I am sorry to hear about your friend's loss, and I would like to pass my thoughts and condolences.

I'm quite sorry to hear that, my condolences. Remain strong though and keep all the best memories of him and celebrate his life and the significant impact he has left upon you and others.

Libera has quite excellent music for times such as this and I can relate to that as their songs have helped me come to terms and accept all losses, Rest In Peace is especially uplifting. Take care and my thoughts are with you.

I am fairly sure the boys that are active in the group will not realize this. Nor am I sure that the Libera team fully appreciate the impact of what it is they do unless someone really says it out loud or in print. What ever it is Robert hears in his head, I do not know. He takes it and the voice or voices of the boys in his group and turns it into music. He then take the music and records it. It turns into an album. Years pass and albums pile one on top of another and the group become more known globally for what it can do.

But what is it really they have done.

I lost my job two months ago thanks to the wonders of the economic cycle (not like I have a choice really). At first, you feel that you are so good at what you do there is no way that you cannot find alternate employment. As hours turn into days, days into weeks and weeks into months, that confidence erodes and sometimes a simple line like "Change and decay in all around I see, Oh thou who changes not abide with me" playing over and over again in the earphones of your iPod are all that stands between hope and despair.

I am fairly sure that James Vereycken, Michael Horncastle and Ed Day at eleven or twelve years of age were just signing because it was their hobby. I am also fairly sure that Robert selected the hymn because it fits both into the Libera sound & the "Songs of Praise" framework and he had the voices that could deliver it brilliantly. What has is done in the long run? Well, I am listening to words committed to recorded media three or more years ago by performers who were to young to know the difference. Today, it lets me know that the job offer I am desperate for may not arrive by the close of business today but it may tomorrow.

So in spite of the fact things could definitely be better and that I have a lot to complain about, how do I feel today...

I listen to the music and feel pretty dang good really...

to day has been good and i have lost a friend named kara she was such a sweet friend i met her on here at libera dreams and now she has not talk to me in so long i wonder how shes been becues i dot want to los a friendship shes from engald we both love libera so much and all the fun i had talking to her on my msn kara if you are out there god belss

Today I feel excited. I've been feeling excited since Friday... I've been looking forward to my appointment at a salon on Saturday morning all week. After that I was excited about my brother's party since we rarely do parties at our place. Today I'm excited (but more curious) about going to this amusement park I used to go to every year till I was ten.

Just sharing, I'm trying to kill some time.
