That damn volcano is a real threat for people like me which have planed to take a plane to come to England... :(

Considering to tell the colour of my T-shirt, when the event will be closer.

Feel like my destiny around this event greatly depends on the Volcano, too. No worries if I will waste a couple days, because of possibly canceled flight. But the concert- I'm really willing to be there! I even considered flying to Japan or South Korea the last month !

Good luck to you both on the competition ! :)

I think you should also wear orange, Murkskis. Members of this forum who are attending the concert agreed to wear orange to easily spot each other. Or at least I think they agreed. :)

Good luck guys. I hope the volcano won't spoil the event and all of you will make it to the concert.

And good luck to Yorkie and Fan_de_LoK. May the best man win!

Oh Patrick will certainly win - one look at the two of us and you will be in no doubt as to which one will be stopping for a hearty breakfast :D

But you said you'll be tucked in at Arundel prior to the concerts, so I don't think it's going to be a foot race. Unless he's tucked in at the same hotel as well. But there are always the volcanic ashes to spoil Fan_de_LoK's quest to be number 1 at the Cathedral. :) Kidding. Hope the ashes are a non-factor on May 15.

How viable is a ferry-ride option for the French fans? The Philippines being an archipelago, ferry rides are the number one options for travel between islands here. Only recently has air travel an option to me in traveling between the island where I work and my "home island". Before, if I opted to travel by air, I need to fly to Manila first and then fly home, which was practically a non-option if one is not in a hurry, which in that case the 10-hour direct ferry ride is the better option.

In fact we are !
But the race should be short, our hotel is 10 meters far from the Cathedral ! :D
No kidding !!

From Calais the Channel is crossed in one hour and half, the journey is very viable ! :)
A few of french and belgian fans will come by ferry, at least 2 cars should be visible near the Cathedral on evening concert :)

There is at least 12 ferries between France and England.
Have a look here on the french forum for a little illustration ;)

On the post just under you have a pre-positionned Google Street View stroll ! :)
Clic on the image and you will do the very exact walk than the Libera boys will do on saturday.

For the 2007 and 2009 concerts in Arundel, the dressing room was the "Mary's Hall", the brick red building showed on the image. I think it will be the same this year, unless it rains....

I'm about to go to sleep, but whoa, cool street-view. Thanks Fan_de_LoK. :) I actually went around the church. What a majestic looking church! And at the back I saw a blue signage saying "The Cathedral Church of Our Lady and St. Philip Howard". Is it the same "St. Philip" as in St. Philip's Choir?

Hee hee, anybody staying at the St. Mary's Gate Inn will have a shorter walk to the cathedral than the boys!

Haha... Yeah, now I remember the discussions before. Just 10 meters away, eh? If they practice at the cathedral, you'd actually hear them from your hotel. Nice.

Orange... malheur !!
As a customer of Easyjet which have had his flights cancelled twice in the same day, I actually begining a little allergy to Orange color

I hope my next flight Nice-Luton on fryday will not be cancelled....

To answer your question Murkskis, yes, last year the rehearsal was in the cathedral. They closed the door at 15h or 16h for that.
The doors are very thick, and there is double doors in facts, so when all is closed we barely hear nothing on the outside ;)

You know I'm checking every day if the flights are allowed !
My flight is scheduled on Thursday.

But the unexpected thing is the concert ticket I booked via Ticketweb hasn't arrived yet ! I booked it on May 3 ! :?
Will call them tomorrow but probably they sent it out.
Planning to buy another in Arundel then !
Better this than any delays because of Volcano- I'm definitely optimistic

Double doors- who invented that ?

Kidding.
