: what's bocce? And is that pronounced similar to "box?"

It's a game where each player has a set number of weighted balls and they must try to throw or roll their balls to get them as close to the neutral ball ( a smaller white ball which is thrown first) as possible. Whoever has a ball closest to the white ball after all the balls are thrown is the winner of that round. It's a lot of fun. Here's a wikipedia article...

That sounds like fun! The Wikipedia article was very good, too...I'll have to be on the lookout for folk down here who are familiar with bocce. I had honestly never heard of it until this topic thread.

Hee hee, so do I say 'jog' to continue that thing or do I say 'ears' to rhyme with sears?
We have a bocce ball set. Except I always thought it was pronounced "BAH-chee" Well, whatever. It's fun!
And now would the next person say 'hog' or 'tears' or 'run'?
