I can have an endless discussion with you regarding Marcos but I think you are either in a fighting mood or just want to know the real score of what you think you know. An observer from the outside who's just looking in doesn't really hold much water.

But no, I’ll stop here. Just do some more research.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you. I was merely saying that of all the dirty dealings the United States has had with the Phillipines the (then) secret dealings with Ferdinand Marcos (senior) did the most damage to the development of your country. Nearly 20 years stolen, and for what? A single battalion of Filipino combat engineers to be sent to Vietnam to make the war appear to be a mutual effort of the free nations of Asia.

We are greatly saddened by the news of the terrible rains and loss of life in Manila.. We have many good friends in the Philippines and our thoughts and prayers are with them all at this sad time.
