Re: What would be your best concert set list ?
I join you Yorkie, Exultate is one of my least prefered songs.
This is not shared by everyone.
At the party in San Diego Joseph told us it was his favorite for the moment and he even started to sing a bit of it at the moment

To me Exsultate is a happy song that just comes off with pure joy. And I keep seeing the mother dancing with her baby in her arms who I saw at St. George's Cathedral in 2012.
But it's quite a 'different' song in their entire catalogue. One of those cases of: you love it or you don't.

I think it works as a good closing to the first half of a concert just because it is a happy song , the same way you need a mysterium to open the second half as its so powerful.
Re: What would be your best concert set list ?
John Rexroad should use this to raise money. Whoever gives the most gets their dream set list performed at a concert
Re: What would be your best concert set list ?
In no particular order:
1. Going Home
2. Love and Mercy
3. Stay with Me
4. Be still my Soul
5. Voca Me
6. Dreaming of Home
7. The Moon Represents My Heart
8. Ave Verum
9. The Prayer
10. Sanctus
11.Attendite
12. Ave Maria (Schubert)
13. Lux Aeterna
14. How Great Thou Art.
15. Glory to Thee (Te Lucis - Tallis' Cannon)
16. Sacris Solemnis
17. Vespera
18. Deep Peace
19. Lead Kindly Light
20. Lament
Encore: Libera
An all time favourite is "Wayfaring Stranger" - but Sam's performance at Washington could never be matched, hence its absence from this list.

Haha , well that rules me out
Some really good songs have been mentioned on here that I would love to hear live
Re: What would be your best concert set list ?
This was a tough exercise for a sleep deprived brain.
Since this is a set list, I put them in the order they would be performed.
First Half
1) Glory To Thee My God This Night
2) Always With You
3) Voca Me
4) We Are The Lost
5) Agnus Dei
6) Evening Falls
7) Stay With Me
Faithful Heart
9) Mysterium/Gloria
Second Half
1) The Fountain
2) Vespera
3) Far Away
4) The Wayfaring Stranger
5) You Were There
6) Abide With Me
7) Angelus
Recordare
9) Sailing
10) I Am The Day
Encore: America or How Shall I Sing That Majesty
I specifically picked The Fountain to lead off the second half as the live version features a long piano introduction
which should serve to quiet down the crowd post-itermission. The Mysterium/Gloria is the two soloist version performed
on tour in 2010 featuring the organ bridge between the two songs.
I had to leave some of my favorites out as I gave additional value to songs I have never seen performed live. There are
seven in this grouping that I hope to see at some concert in the future.

That's one of my favorites for sure Maarten. I wonder if any of the current cast would be capable
of performing it to Daren Geraghty's standard?

With so many votes for it now they're bound to add Evening Falls to the set list!

I think we tend to forget about it because they never recorded it after they became known as Libera.
I would love to hear some of those Angel Voices album songs like Evening Falls. But under no circumstances are they permitted to sing "Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam" from AV2.

haha , we can only hope but i somehow think that our suggestions wont be heard . All tho Ave Verum did make a come back when loads of people kept asking for it years ago but it could of been a co-wink-a-dink
Re: What would be your best concert set list ?
1st Half:
Libera!
Sing Forever (I'd like Isaac to solo for this one)
Vespera
The Prayer
Wayfaring Stranger
Salva Me
The Fountain
Recodare
Going Home
Never Be Alone
2nd Half:
You Are There (maybe Camden soloing)
Stay With Me
I Am The Day
Lacrymosa
Beata Lux (have they ever sung this one live?)
Dreaming of Home (with Tom D L on solo of course)
O For The Wings of a Dove (ditto)
Veni Sancte
Adoramus
Encore: How Shall I Sing That Majesty

I love Exultate! It always comes across as really happy and joyful, especially live.fan_de_LoK wrote:I join you Yorkie, Exultate is one of my least prefered songs.
I think Isaac would do a great job with Evening Falls, though I'm not sure anyone could better Daren.tom413 wrote:That's one of my favorites for sure Maarten. I wonder if any of the current cast would be capable
