This is the first example, please ignore the poor airbrushing above Cassius, the final artwork will be flawless.

Another one tomorrow.

EDIT...

Ok so I completed another example, again I have roughly airbrushed a couple of features for demonstration.

This will for sure, be the last one today. Been editing at a pixel level and I'm seeing everything now in squares.

Cool! :D

I like the first one best personally. Good job on them both though, it must have taken some time.

I wish I had the time to put together some ideas, although I'm not sure if I'd actually come up with anything good. I do like the picture with RP - that would be cool to incorporate somehow.
Unfortunately, the image is fairly low resolution so would not look good. A second point to note, although it has been suggested to fit all the boys in, it would be quite difficult as you may notice with the second image. It has lower impact than the first. I will try though. I have many more ideas and I'm getting some great suggestions.

Thanks everyone for you thoughts.

It is quite time consuming as I need to remove the background so the image blends with the current theme. As I pointed out, I am editing at an almost pixel level and have to manually draw round the part of the image I wish to keep. There are tools that can do the job, but they are not perfect and I usually have to finish by hand.

I'm partial to the second banner because it's more inclusive.

I like the first one because it looks like the boys are sitting on the top of the page, although it does bother me a wee bit that Alessandro is missing half his sleeve.

Haha, yes I agree it looks like he is missing half his sleeve, but what is missing, is the pillar he is leaning against. I may try this again but place back the two side pillars.

It is very hard to create something with all the boys, as too much distracts from the website as a whole. I've had some very positive feedback on the first image, much through twitter, I may try a few variations on that one. But please, if anyone has any other ideas or suitable picture suggestions, that would help very much.

I'm trying to aim for an image with a size that would fit in an area of roughly 3 x long as it it high, with minimal cropping. or 3:1 aspect for you techy's

Cheers :D

I think nr. 1 is perfect, just needs some touching up like you said.
Thanks for the effort so far!

So I have changed the first design a little, plus I have added the clouds to give it the Libera dreamy look as in the current header. The image used, although is does not depict all the boys, it is clean and simple, and moreover it is current. I have spent a good deal of time now, but I keep coming back to the same idea that I have had a lot of support for. I would like to use it, but if anyone has any ideas or thinks that it just needs twerking a little in any way, please say.

Again, the text is a little messy, but this will not be in the final design.

I like it too, although it's not quite "current" as Ben Fairman is no longer a member :)

It's good. So the clouds will be a permanent feature?

I'm a little behind the times, as I was not aware that Ben was no longer with Libera. But it is current, in that its a fairly recently released album.

That was the plan.
