I didn't know this post was worth opening a topic, so I'm posting it here

I share with you this little moment of solitude that I have just felt, through my almost daily activities.

I have been very involved in my associations for many years. I am a volunteer, and I devote a lot of time and my personal life to educating young people through sport.
I organize weekly meetings, except holidays, and a one-week trip per year.
It is an activity that is very close to my heart since we welcome young people aged 8 to 18, and through our activity, we lead them towards autonomy, providing them with essential values ​​such as confidence, life in a group, mutual aid with respect whatever our origins. Without Competition!

Organizing all this can sometimes be tiring, since recognition is not always there, although it is not what we are looking for as a priority. I will rather talk about the interest shown by parents in our daily dedication to organizing activities that the child will have excellent memories of for a long time!

Why am I telling you all this? I was finalizing the particular aspects of a stay which begins in 6 days and a family disappointed me enormously in their behavior, in relation to essential information that I was urgently awaiting. I was replying to them by email what I thought about it in not very pretty terms.... I was in a fairly advanced state of irritation, ready to press the "send" button... .

At this very moment my random playlist that I was listening to at the very moment played on "Libera" the Dominik Clark solo with "Cum Demerit"... Can you guess the rest?

How can I put it..... My anger immediately faded..... I took the time to listen to it and savor it.... It transported me!
I deleted my email and called the person in particular to tell them in person what was wrong... In a calm tone that was understandable to both sides... and even in a good mood!

Incredible feeling. Libera is capable of extraordinary good deeds!
I don't know how to explain it! All my bad vibes dissipated like magic. And ultimately it is this most intelligent outcome, rather than an escalation of remarks, which would necessarily have had negative effects and frustration on everyone.
I'll think twice next time about putting Libera in my ears before I act if I'm feeling angry.

That's wonderful! And I'm sure that what you do for these families is valuable beyond measure. It's easy to become disheartened when we are doing "thankless" work. Often the work that is most important is unfortunately the work that our world values the least, so remind yourself that and often!

Libera has helped me countless times when I was feeling low so I can perfectly well relate to the feeling of relief and release of tension that their music can allow.

Yes, Libera has helped me to manage my emotions more than once, as well. Just today, I have woken up after weird nightmares and did not take time to dwell on it, since I was going to visit a friend. But while going there, during the bus ride, as I was listening to "Voca Me", the lady in front of me gave me a strange look, and I suddenly found out I was crying... Libera just allowed the feelings to get out, when I did not plan to take the time for it, but it really did me good to cry a little bit.

This is actually one of the reasons why I have decided to attend Libera concerts each and everytime I can make it in term of agenda : it is good medicine ! Well worth it

You are absolutely right, you speak with knowledge of the facts?
In my association we all come together to experience the same passion, pleasure and evolve together, but at our own speed, without a spirit of competition or other constraints. No grade, no diploma, no ranking! Everyone is considered the same way.
This is why our position is "ungrateful", since today the world rewards the top of the podium, the results, where you have to be the strongest, the most beautiful... and that's sad.

Concerning the concerts, I imagine that the result must be really effective!! So intense!!! so strong! we must never come away neutral.

I took a place for the Christmas concert. This will be my first. I'm excited and scared at the same time. I'm sure that when I leave, I'll be completely overwhelmed, the emotion will be so strong. The desire to see a Live again will be to hight and my opportunities to see them again will be so slim and rare... How can I fill this waiting time! Fortunately the community is there to support each other!

I don't know if my post will be welcome, but I try my luck, I'll delete it if it bothers. I'm starting my bike trip in England and Wales on Tuesday, with a friend, our bags, our tents, our mattresses. We're traveling through these countries for 14 days!

From Newheaven, Bath, Cardiff, Aberystwith, Oxford, London... the itinerary is not yet well defined, but it gives us the freedom to adapt from day to day! Sometimes looking for a little comfort for a night or an evening, it would be great to meet other fans! Even if my English is not Berry terrible, I really appreciate human exchanges, discovering other cultures, especially yours!

Many strangers helped us when we were struggling with our luggage on the train station stairs when the elevators were broken or with the “Mr. Toad Wild Ride” through the streets of London in a pedicab. So you should be able to meet many nice locals. Hope you get to meet fellow fans esp. in the Christmas concert.
I met two in person (real names rhyme with Shaun and Shandy) were super nice and helped with my tech problem of getting on this board. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I witnessed that too. In Chester, I was saved by a private taxi driver on the way from the station to my hotel, as I had to take stairs and not a street at some point and I didn't recognise that (I'm a zero regarding orientation.) He watched me being lost, came to me and offered me to take me there for free. And when we arrived, he kept insisting on not taking any money, although I counter-insisted on paying. "I'm glad I could help, have a beautiful day" and off he went.
In Arundel a few years ago, I stood next to the causeway down the hill to take several pictures of the Cathedral above. Suddenly a driver stopped his car on the middle (!) of the busy (!) causeway, because he thought I wanted to cross the street and then ... all others stopped as well for me. OMG, this still stirs me to tears.
Last year, also in Arundel, a man overtook me on the stairs up to the bridge of the station and disappeared around the corner, where the stairs went down again. When I arrived at the top of these stairs, I saw him standing there below, waiting for me only to ask me if he could help me with my suitcase. Aww!

Only 3 examples out of multiple times I was warmed with the kindest offers to help me in the UK.
