Unless Kevin returns and creates another trusted site admin who has a little each day, I can see libera-dreams becoming overrun by spam.

Until kevin comes back we will have to live with this. So in advance, sorry about the spam, i have been trying my best to keep up with it. Most of the other mods have left me there are only 2 or 3 of us now that are still active on checking the boards. I try to check the board every 4 to 5 hrs.

After the migration of libera-dreams, we had an increase of spam messages, theses where automated spam bots, last night, I changed the antispam system from the captcha system to a question & answer system. This seems to have defeated the spam bots for now. But I would ask you to be vigilant of spam messages, and report them as soon as they occur.

Thanks for your help, and lets try and keep Libera Dreams Spam free.

There's a lot spam going on right now in almost all of the topics. It has strange titles so it is easy to recognize.

I just reported a bunch, all from the same poster. I really wish that there was some sort of legal protection against this sort of thing. It says something about our current political situation when not one country in the entire world offers its citizens legal remedy against this sort of unwanted intrusion.

To limit the spammers, I see that a setting is applied to the forum to prevents to send two messages too quickly next to each other.

The issue is that setting is much too long, I can't post a message then update it to correct it, the forum warns me "You cannot make another post so soon after your last.".
Or I can't post two private messages next to each other.

I don't know to how long this setting is set but it's too long, maybe 1 minute.
More than blocking spammers, it's so long that it's a nuisance for the legit users.
It should be set to 10 seconds at max to my point of view.
