Hi everyone :)

Only a week away till the first concert at St. Michaels! I have secured my premium tickets for the two shows I will be attending with my Mom and some family members for the last two concerts in Hamilton and Guelph. For those of you who will be attending those two shows, it would be great if we could arrange a meeting sometime with fellow forum members :). If anyone is interested please PM me or any other members going. I'm looking forward to attending these concerts with all my Libera friends and also meeting many new ones!

#warning - what follows is purely hypothetical#

I was listening to Voca Me whilst walking back to my car after finishing work tonight and it got me thinking - why did they use Voca Me in the video advertising the Canada tour?

I was thinking about Epsom and I realised there were a couple of small details that might be nothing but could possibly fit together.

So, lets assume that they did intend to perform Voca in Canada. It is pretty much certain that the programme for Epsom will mirror what they perform in Canada, but no Voca me was performed.

However, there were only 19 songs in Epsom and I think I'm right in saying they normally do 20. Could the missing song be Voca Me?

If they did intend to do it why would they have to drop it? Maybe Voca Me relies heavily on one boy to sing high and crisp. What if, for whatever reason, the boy who was supposed to perform those high notes was unable to do so? Well, they would have to drop the song at short notice and would not have anything to put in its place.

Pure speculation but........possible? Could Voca Me be back on the Canada tour if they have had time to work it out? Ahhh, the sweet anticipation :D
If I’ve got owt to say I says it, and if I’ve got owt to ask I asks it.

The concert did seem shorter in Epsom so i still would not rule out Voca Me.

Has anybody worked out how JB is 16 and not sitting the same exams as Sam and Josh, unless people have his age wrong and he is actually 17.

If the UK school system is the same as it is here where I live in Canada, then a student has to be a certain age by a specified date to be in a certain grade. In my area, a student has to be a certain age by December 31st of the current year to be in a particular grade. For example, students registering for Junior Kindergarten for our current school year (2010-2011) had to have had their 4th birthday by December 31st, 2010. If a student's 4th birthday falls on January 31st, 2011 (same day as Jonathan's birthday), they would have to wait to begin Junior Kindergarten in September of 2011. By extension, then, Josh and Sam, who were born in October of 1994,before the December 31st cutoff date, are eligible to write the exams, whereas Jonathan, who was born in 1995, and whose 16th birthday is after December 31st, 2010 would have started school a year later, and hence would be writing these exams one year later. Again, I am assuming that the UK is similar to Canada in this respect, but then I might be wrong.

Here you have to be a certain age by Agu 31st. I was always bitter because my birthday was in Oct( so i had missed the cut off point by just under a month ) so some of my class-mates was 10 months younger than me. So if he was born in 1995 and 16 before 31Aug 2011 then this is his final year of school which means he sits his exams before he goes to college or does 6th form.

I agree with dani it is like that. One of my best friends was 10 months older than me and most of us, but being bitter? It does give an advantage to thsoe older ones, in (can i say maturity terms.ie: they seem to be able to grasp the principals we wsere taught that little bit quicker).
Still all in all, you could miss out by just one day so!

I agree. I've experienced this myself although my birthday is in May. I was one of the "younger" kids in the class when I was going to a mainstream school. After 3rd grade I was homeschooled with my sister from age 9-13.

My mom had my sister and I be in the same grade while homeschooling to make things easier (we're only a year apart), so when I went back to mainstream school after we'd finished 7th grade, my mom enrolled my sister in 8th grade and me in 7th. So...I had to do 7th grade twice, which I wasn't really crazy about! But I ended up being the oldest in my class, and I think it did help me a bit maturity-wise. It felt kind of awkward being 14 in 7th grade when some of my classmates were still 12, but I could kind of tell there was a difference between us and in high school I thought that being older helped me too. I wasn't as stressed out about things I guess.

And anyways it all evened out in the end because I spent my senior year of high school doing full-time PSEO at the same university as my sister and was able to earn 40 credits. :)

I expect they will as they will be doing some promo work prior to the concerts.

On the official site Libera thank the partners who made possible their Canadian tour :)

http://www.libera.org.uk/news/our_canada_supporters" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Musical instruments, printer, various organizations, and also the hotel of their stay.

The hotel has even published a sympatic welcome word to Libera :)

It is ideally located on the edge of Lake Ontario and looks very nice, they will have a great time there :)

I hope they enjoy the tour as much as me, they deserve a great time in Canada, for they put in so much hard work to make us! fans happy.

Its good to know that they wont be feeling a financial burden from the tour also :)
