Another week the same old drudgery and turgid talentless acts. Oh and don't forget the now traditional young guy and his guitar with a sob story

OK, I let this years BGT get away from me. They have now started the live shows where each night two acts are selected to go through to the weekends final. The first two acts from (a very poor) first night were:

and yes, he's a bloody Canadian.

Really hate these guys. Their audition was badly out of tune so they compensated by cranking up the reverb and slapping on nausea inducing overproduction. Ghastly rubbish and an insult to real singers.

I'll add in the results of each show every day - some interesting singing acts to come and one of the acts has already made an appearance on the Ellen show in the States...

Better acts on last night's semi-finals, although I really didn't 'get' the dance act. It just seemed to be people standing up, crouching down, waving arms, repeat....the lad and his guitar was good though.

Last two acts for next Saturday's final. Thought there were better acts than the old lady...

It doesn't appear to be a good year for BGT.

A dreadful year Tully, made worse by the winners. I see that most of the videos have been deleted which is odd because I used the official BGT links. To be honest I can't be bothered to go back and relink them :(

So the winner was the act I hated the most - Collabro

[BBvideo 425,350][/BBvideo]

2nd

[BBvideo 425,350][/BBvideo]

3rd

[BBvideo 425,350][/BBvideo]

One of the worst things is that they are allowed to do songs they have sung in previous rounds even though they had at least a week to prepare something new.

Did I tell you how much I really, really hated Collabro?

Well they're not "Il Divo" or "The 3 Tenors". "Stars" really should be sung as a solo. Russell Crowe was better and he was the weakest singer in the entire recent movie "Les Miserables". They have a long way to go before they can take on Phillip Quast.
