I had seen it before. Thought it was funny, creative - reminded me of myself at that age when I would like to make up small theatrical acts and dress up, so I liked it. Unusual, yes, but in a good way. Nice to see them trying out something different - why not, the song lends itself to it, the boys apparently agree to it - I never figured anything could be bad about it. The only flaw for me is that it's a bit slow and boring - which is why I like the regular live version better, because of the wonderful interaction with the audience. But coming on this forum I have found out that you either love it or hate it - and those who hate it, do so with a passion. I wonder why. What makes it in a person that the reactions are so different?

Well I was not a big fan of this portion of "L'or des Anges" and I was sure not going to post this clip on here... I can't wait to hear what Yorkie makes of this.

I don't mind the cat duet; actually, I think it can be quite funny when the performers deliver it with straight faces and the audience takes a while to catch on. But the piece with the catsuits is just a bit uncomfortable.

I would find rolling about in shards of glass more comfortable.

Lmao, this could really fly on broadway, other than that..it's pretty out there.

Also, what's up with the music teacher caressing the diaphragm of the boys??? Like.....really? What's so significant about that....that it has to be shown on the video...maybe I'm missing the whole context of the video......but that was disturbing to say the least.

Here's another clip from "L'or des Anges", just to show you it is about more than boys in cat costumes...

This is the "Worcester Boys Choir" performing "Balulalow" and also playing cricket... a game which frankly looks fun, but completely mystifies me.

This video was the first time I'd heard "Balulalow" from Brittens Ceremony of Carols, and I think it sounds quite lovely here.

With every bowl in that ostensibly carefree little match, the soul of the person in charge of those surplices shrivels up a bit and weeps.

This is a bit out-of-season now, but I just came across some Praetorius Christmas music performed by a very capable Westminster Cathedral Choir and wanted to share. (The Youtube user has quite a number of tracks uploaded.)

This isn't choral, but there is an 'orchestra' of a kind involved, and I've been on a kick lately. The man's a legend, anywayâ€” talk about showmanship!

Well, at least the Choir Director isn't fondling the kids in this one but that version of Balulalow isn't much cop. Cricket is a simple game - just stand at silly mid on and wait for the batsmen to give you a tickle from the bowlers googlie.

That's a nice piece and don't worry about it being a Christmas piece, it goes nicely with Balulalow which is also a Christmas piece.

Found a beautiful one of Katherine Jenkins live performances. This is such a wonderful piece I think. Her mezzo-soprano is breathtaking & the orchestra makes it to something very special, too.
