That's a bit sad, but I understand. The reviewer was obviously in a hurry to write it and tired after the concert. Even the original French version of the forum posts were mostly runon sentences and a lot of phrases separated only by commas. Thus, the spotty Google translation.

Yes i love it now. I never liked Liam (please dont kill me ) people used to put him againest Steven G (as in who was the best ) so i always disliked him because of this .

So frustrating when they tour in Japan/Korea - the translation can be very hit and miss. Still better than nothing. I still don't know why they don't allow fans to take photo's after the concert. Compare this to the Philippines, were camera flashes will be ablaze everywhere.

On Amazon Japan there is now not less than 3 Libera Cds in the top 10 sellings in classical section !

Indeed. It seems that the reviewer was forbidden to take pictures of the place prior to the concert. It's very odd to me as well. I think perhaps the instructions from Libera management got lost in translation a bit. In the concert I attended last year only the performances were forbidden from being recorded. Before, intermission, and after were completely free---libera---for all!

I think it's more a policy of the venue in this case. I recall somebody mentioning this last year, that Bunkamura has a strict no can do, when it comes to taking pictures or recording video's, once through the entrance doors. Still, doesn't mean they can't waiver it for a post-concert meet and greet.

No.93 in overall music catagory too, so very good sales figures, although the other day Canadian Amazon had Libera at No50 in overall music. I think they have a case more than anyone for inviting a debut visit by Libera.

Here my poor translation to English from Bernard's French review.
This is not a word-to-word, I have shortened what was not specially significant.

Doors open at 18h30, Big crowd, many seams to have been already there.

In the lobby there is CD and programs to be sold (mine is now partially signed, I'll explain why later) and posters.

In the filling auditorium I take a photo, immediately an hostess intervenes "§ μ @ @ & #! $", meaning mainly no photo, verboten! or Forbidden!
There are plenty of empty seats. (fan_de_LoK comment : 4 days ago the sold seats for today's concert were about 76%)

The program is beautiful, I have 2 for now, Boys photos are new ones, wow, they have grown up. They are 23, Ed is missing.

On the middle of the auditorium there is the console lighting with Ben Crawley and other people already seen on photos. Steven Geraghty and Robert Prizeman will do music accompaniment.

Lights go down and a voice is heard.
Lights go up and alone on stage there is Stephan, giving us a remarcable solo! I think he is part of succession (of great Libera soloists).
Then the others arrive : Adoramus, a great classic.
From the early beginning I get chills! The sound is missing a church atmosphere but fantastic anyway.
At the end of the song Freddie made a speech "Welcome to our concert", with in background the text written in Japanese. With the resonance I did not understand everything but the words are already known.

Then Sanctissima arrives. Josh is seconded by Ralf for the high notes as new soloist.
Then Far Away, Ben and Stephan who has almost a solo soon as possible (Fan_de_Lok comment : I not really understand the meaning of this in French...)

Sammy's speech, again known word, usually said by Sam Leggett in 2007

Next Song is a solo by Alex. Robert Prizeman is taking freedom, he is recreating his soloists.

Then again a speech by Ben, next song, many solos by Stephan, and then the intermission came.

Weird that Ed isn't with them. Isn't he a year younger than Tom and Josh? Technically though, since they didn't seem to have a song for him, I guess it makes sense cost-wise. I'm a bit surprised though because judging from the Time vid, I thought he can still sing those high notes. Maybe something changed then.

Also, it's a little weird to have Josh and Ralph in O Sanctissima but not mini Ben. Maybe RP wanted to go with a more mellow sound, much like the original, and maybe Ben's mature voice doesn't have that anymore.

What song did Alex solo in?

I smiled when I read "many solos by Stefan". Not really surprised here. He has blown everyone away since his debut last year. It's amazing how easily he has transitioned from newbie to lead soloist.

Oh, I really would love to hear all the new soloists.

Yep, there is a general consensus that Stefan has an incredible high solo voice.

I'm with you on that one - I'll be very interested to see how it compares to the Ed version (assuming they do it at Arundel).

Oh sorry but I have never heard the version of Ed And it seems that his interpretation was beautiful. I am a little sad to have missed that.

(part two of my poor translation of french review by Bernard )

A dark silhouette appears.
Guess what? Freddie makes us a new speech "it's me again!" (:lol:) but he is all dressed in black, with white edges at the sleeves and the hood, showing up in blacklight lighting.
They sang two songs and they disappear, being back 30 seconds later in white robes.

Then a small change from the program : amazing, Sammy makes us a solo On Amazing Grace, beautiful interpretation.
I was saying Robert Prizeman involves the replacement of its soloists, and there again all is well.

From beginning to end we had as soloists : Stephan, Jacob, Alex, Mini-James, Freddie, Sammy, Alphi, Ralph, Matthew, Daniel. I will check on tomorrow's concert if I missed anyone.

Then comes the end of the show. I did not see the time pass.
The crowd rushed outside. When I realized why it was too late.
A big queuing for the meet and greet was formed on each side of the stairs. Two separate lines with 6 boys on each side, so not possible to have a signature from everyone. Hugely people are waiting.
I reached as last one, and I could talk with Sammy, Ben, Ralph, Carlos James T, and Flynn to whom I handed the gift (Fan_de_Lok comment : an Eiffel Tower for Flynns's birthday (:)) that can be seen here in an home made wooden box) which was set aside by Callum.

Tomorrow I return to the second layer of signatures.

When I asked to Ben if he had noticed that I was not Japanese he burst out laughing, and at my question "are you tired" the answer was "yes". 2 hours concert, 1 hour signatures.

Now it's Friday 01:00 AM, I go to sleep.
