I watched it. It had clapping & a presenter with red hair. My contempt can be no greater for the programme.
However, I feel that Libera still could make an appearance on the show in future as they did have musical spots that didn't involve congregational clapping...

You were watching Baptist shows back in 1961?

I suspect the programmers are just hoping to enlarge their viewer base to include more Roman Catholics and non-Anglican protestants, that doesn't mean they're abandoning the C of E entirely.

Then what did you watch with such contempt?Yorkie wrote:No, which is why I didn't quote your post.TullyBascombe wrote:You were watching Baptist shows back in 1961?

Last weeks SOP, the first under the new era. Presenters with dyed red hair, clap along sing songs and guitars. If you wanted to showcase everything that is weak and insipid about fringe Christianity and create a parody programme then they have discovered the correct format based on that one show. Of course things might settle down and the formula may improve. We'll see.john45 wrote:Then what did you watch with such contempt?Yorkie wrote:No, which is why I didn't quote your post.TullyBascombe wrote:You were watching Baptist shows back in 1961?
