So are we expecting a video this Friday as we are still due two videos?
Isn't it three videos? Once, Dido's Lament and Happy Xmas
Is there not possibly another one as well? In the photos in the tweet it had pictures from what we now know are One Small Song and Seabird but there was another of them standing on the edge of the hill with Joseph in front. Unless that is part of Dido's Lament for contrast it would seem to be a different video - maybe The Lark's Last Song?
DREAM
Seabird (26 OCT 24) - 52,300 - 2,906 views/day
One Small Voice (19 OCT 24) - 59,000 - 2,360 views/day
FOREVER
Thanks for the stats!
Are the views per day an average number or something generated by YouTube? Because if there's a video with 1,000 views all of which took place the first day it was released it would average to 1 view per day after 1,000 days....which is technically true but rather misleading.

That's what it is, I'm afraid. Views per day generally start out high and drop over time -- unless they get picked up by the algorithm and go for a ride like Ave Verum. However, the general viewing curve should be similar for most other Libera videos and would thus allow for valid comparisons of videos released in a particular time frame like the groupings here.

I may need to hear this one a few times. Thomas’ voice is gorgeous, but there’s not enough of him on this track, and the song itself will take a bit of getting used to for me.
Is this track likely to have a greater appeal to east Asian or mainly Japanese music enthusiasts? Definitely a very different sound for Libera.
I really hope this won’t be Tom‘s only contribution to a Libera studio album because if he is to get another chance they’ll have to get him in the studio pretty sharpish because he’s nearly 14 and starting to catch up.

It would have been nice to hear him featured as a soloist on a second album track, but I think this arrangement works just fine as it is. He has a lovely voice, but I certainly wouldn't put it on the level of his older brother's voice. Freddie's voice was more unique and expressive.
Admittedly, I haven't been to recent concerts, so I'm only going by recorded material.

Edward has a pure, sweet voice that blends nicely with Tom's, but I wonder why they didn't try for a little more harmony. I'd love to hear more from Edward as well.

Do people think Edward is the second voice on the recording? He's not credited as a soloist though Pietro in Twilight is and a few boys were credited on Forever for songs where they did part/harmony solos only (Lighthouse, Grateful Heart). I know from pictures it looks like Edward is doing second voice on the video and he did it in the Japan concerts but I concluded that perhaps Thomas was doing both voices on the album as of course you can on a recording. I've wondered the same with songs like Far Away, Once an Angel and In Paradisum which don't credit a second soloist. Though in the videos of the latter two they didn't bother with having a second soloist appear, whereas it seems Edward does in Once. I'm confused! But it seems unlikely to me that Edward wouldn't be credited when they otherwise seem to have been so scrupulous with listing the soloists and part soloists.

Happy Xmas (War is Over) is suddenly feeling even more relevant after today's news. I guess if things really go crazy, we'll still have music to help us through difficult times.

Since it's the same recording I'm sure that he has to be doing the same thing in the video.
I'm not sure why there is no credit but perhaps the part is so secondary to the soloist that it didn't seem appropriate to management to give him that solo credit. He is a bit muted compared to Thomas (clearly a mixing board decision) and only serving a support function, so it does make sense.
That's my guess anyhow!

Regarding Edward’s role in Once, an anecdote from the third concert of the Japan tour in Osaka.
I don’t think this has been reported before.
The song Once began as expected, with Thomas M delivering the first verse at centre stage.
Usually, Edward would join for the second verse, providing backing vocals while positioned behind Thomas, slightly to his left.
However, to my surprise, it was Joseph who stepped in, standing to Thomas’s right
I instinctively scanned the stage for Edward, only to realise—another surprise—he wasn’t there.
Edward had left the stage at some point before Once, and I hadn’t noticed.
One or two songs later, Edward was back on stage as if nothing had happened.
Curious, I tried to find out more during the signing session. Unfortunately, I fumbled my question.
I asked Edward what had happened during Once, to which he replied with a somewhat sad expression, simply confirming he wasn’t on stage (yes, I had noticed that much). But with the ushers moving everyone along, I didn’t get the chance to ask a follow-up question.
It’s worth mentioning that Joseph’s quick substitution was seamless and went unnoticed by the audience. After the concert, someone mentioned seeing Liam point to Joseph, signalling him to step in at the last minute. It was clearly an unplanned change, but Joseph reacted immediately, ensuring everything went smoothly, like a real professional.
Only the superfans—those who attended the Tokyo concerts and analyse every detail—might have noticed the change of the second voice for the second verse

Thank you for sharing this. That's seriously impressive from Joseph - more proof if any was needed that he is a star. While he might know the tune from other verses, he wouldn't necessarily know the words of the verse he doesn't normally sing so the fact he cam in so seamlessly is a real credit to him. I guess if he hadn't felt confident they could have just had Thomas doing a solo on the second verse too but how great that they didn't need to. Poor Edward though what unlucky timing. Glad he came back and seemed to be OK, if understandably sad, afterwards.

That does make sense. Equally on the recording it could be Thomas's voice doubled which he can't do live. Particularly because as someone pointed out there isn't much harmony. It doesn't really matter I'm just curious. Either way it sounds beautiful.

Oh wow! Very impressive that he was able to step in so quickly. I'm sure that Edward left the stage for legitimate reasons that can be understandable. Perhaps he felt unwell for a moment or needed some water, these young kids are really doing a grown-up job and it can be difficult. Thank you for sharing this story with us.

Actually, that's quite a good guess to the nature of the situation here. I wouldn't have thought of that as an option, but we know they've done it before.
