Speculations About next Concerts

Always remember .... It's never official until Libera themselves make it official.

That said, I have Sourced some recent info that appears to indicate Libera will be involved with World Youth Day events in Krakow (Poland) and will then make their concert debut in Germany on 2nd August at Pilgerkirche (Pilgrim Church), Vallendar-Schönstatt, http://www.schoenstatt.de/de/news/3226/ ... nstatt.htm

According to Wikipedia...

She is the patron saint of Mother Thrice Admirable consecrated and serves as a sanctuary for coming to Schoenstatt pilgrims and the communities of the Schoenstatt Movement"

"The church is a round church built with 50 m diameter in tent shape and has about 1350 single seating in seats"

I also note...

The entrance fees are for the cost of the concert and the accommodation of the choir. The door collection provides financial support of Libera

...so let's hope they manage to raise enough funds to break even and take away any financial worries.

Apart from the mention in the article above, I can't find much info about their involvement in Krakow for WYD but there are a series of events they could be part of. It may also involve Mark McKenzie and his work on the animated film 'Max & Me'.

Hmmh, can't see they would be allowing a load of blokes in to the world youth event thing so I think that part of the adventure is out of scope. Quick look on Google maps shows that the church venue is about an hour by car from Frankfurt airport.

Wow! Unexpected and unprecedented for them to do that, but I would say it is about time they did more touring in continental Europe. The ticket prices are extremely low and I do hope they manage to find a way to cover their expensives as the tickets alone are definitely insufficient.

I thought the release of "Max & Me" had been pushed back to 2017?

According to Mark McKenzie's blog, it's the release of the soundtrack CD that is postponed to 2017, not the movie.

By the way libera can be in Krakow to sing for the Pope, not just for the movie.

I started with Libera only in January and there is a concert in Germany now?? I cannot believe it, am I dreaming? The church has got 1.300 seats as they told me this morning.

So with time passing it looks like Germany may be the only concert for fans.

I would love to go to see the group in Germany and other countries but as it stands with only one concert I won't be doing it as it's too expensive and much hassle for only one concert

Also, concerning Libera going to the World Youth event, isn't the event open to everyone?

I'm very pleased to see a concert of Libera in Germany.

For the last three years I always have to go to England to listen to a concert
in May. In some way very convenient for me.
