#Warning, controversial statement approaching. Readers of a nervous disposition should turn away now#
I hated it. It was awful and frankly most of what WSK does leaves me cold.
Now, excuse me while I pull the wings off some flies.
n.b. just to be clear not having a go at you katayfan - it would be a very dull world if we all liked the same thing. Actually, it would be like Bradford on a wet Tuesday. And trust me, you don't want to go to Bradford on any day of the week.

Hmm. I wasn't ecstatic with the Lion Sleeps Tonight too.
Anyhoo, I had found this one and I don't like the song that much but it's pretty funny. Even the soloist couldn't help smiling after delivering his lines and heaing the crowds reaction.

That's exactly my point. hahaha He looked like he had fun singing it and that what makes it kinda interesting to watch. I'm not a fan of the song but I must admit I was impressed with their meows. They really sound like a cat (specially the dark-haired boy)

I wouldn't be surprised if he has cats of his own....If i had to dot hat song I would totally listen to my cats(if i had any) or go to a pet shop just to listen to cats meowing...

Speaking of cats, there are several fine (hilarious) songs that would be workable in "The Cat in the Hat Songbook," a collaboration of Dr. Seuss and composer Eugene Poddany. There's an album of most of these songs available, too; however, practically nothing on youtube.
I particularly think Libera would do a great job with the rather soulful and sad song "Somebody Stole My Hoo-to Foo-to Boo-to Bah" from the collection, although there are others that seem suitable as well. "Rainy Day in Utica, NY," for one, or "The Left-Sock Thievers," or "Party Parting"....
On a completely unrelated note, how about these from No More Kings? The second one is probably going a bit too far, but...well...it does contain a good public service shoelace safety message.
