Got to admit if you had brought classical/choral to my feet when I was your age I would have run a mile. How things change lol
You'll be tired of it by the time you reach adulthood, and revert back to rap or rock lol ... but yes more than I expected with your review, so thanks a lot!
Interesting to note on the weblog http://usa2011.chchchoir.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; that Christ Church Cathedral Choir have been in Toronto too, and flew back to London, just before Libera landed lol
You're welcome Yes, I agree, they mentioned something about the crowd size but I can't quite put my finger on what it was they said. Ah yes, up until last year I really wanted nothing to do with classical music (apart from Libera) but now, I love it! Don't know anyone else my age here who would even consider listening to anything choral or classical, though.
Haha, I hope not! Although I did kind of shift away from country music, which is what I grew up singing an listening to, when I discovered Libera. Thankfully no group will ever match up to them, therefor I have no reason to leave!

Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) went to the Dragon School! They discovered her while she was acting in school plays, so clearly they knew where to look!
I find myself listening to this track at least once a week.......the lyrics get me everytime...........and the boy singer is raw but is perfect for this song....
Are you quite sure Yorkie? The BBC Songs of Praise website says it was Ysgol Pen Barras....
(Though I really do think that winner should have been the Dragon School...)
Hahaha - I think I misunderstood what Murkskis was saying! I thought he was doing a name check on what the school was called ('is there really a school called Dragon School' in Britain) - it didn't occur to me that he was suggesting who the winner might be
And you cheated by the way
If I’ve got owt to say I says it, and if I’ve got owt to ask I asks it.
I didn't cheat! I didn't make an actual guess, because I had come across the winner while checking the SoP site, before the videos were even on YouTube. I was enjoying trying to convince myself that the winner was The Dragon School, though, until my curiousity got the better of me and I went back to check the SoP site again!

You'll get no argument from me. Beyond mere technical perfection he has a mastery of the violin that allows him to produce the most exquisite emotional expression from the instrument.
I haven't got that album, I'll have to look for it.
Watching the live stream of the beatification of John Paul II. The choir - I assume it's the Vatican choir - is actually pretty mediocre - I remember someone telling me once that they had visited St. Peter's in Rome and had been disillusioned by the poor quality of their choir. This got me thinking - maybe Italy just isn't a "choir country". You got your tenors and opera stars, but does anyone know of any good Italian choirs?
You raise me high beyond the sky
