Yeah. It looked like he was about to write an "L". :-)

Great posting guys - thanks for the updates.

Moppi very interesting stuff. Personally I am taking Liam's change to the cover as a sign that Ed has left the group. Possibly not on good terms either (but that might just be my over active imagination)

Looking forward to reading about tomorrows concerts/shows - you guys do us proud. I'm officially elevating the Filipino and Korean fans to joint first in the 'Libera's Biggest Fan Competition'. The Japanese fans have been relegated to a distant third place :D

Thanks Yorkie. We'll take it.

For the Biggest Fan in FB... We're gonna have to take that win alone. Over 1000 fans in 24 hours... Can't wait to see the mini-concert that Mini-Ben promised to be "one heck of an experience". Don't know if it's direct quote, though. But that's what Libera 360 reported.

Good night from the Philippines. Mabuhay!

Ahh yes, but the Korean fans made Rubik's cubes with Libera on and Teddy Bears in little monks outfits - that gets a lot of points from The Jury

Yorkie, let's not stir up the forum lol
It's hard to compare apple to orange to peach.
Everyone is Libera's biggest fans in their own ways ;)

Anyway, thank you Moppi for your detailed report!!

Ooh. I don't know what to think about the thing with Ed. I've got perhaps too many strong opinions about his treatment in Libera, but they're all pessimistic and completely unfounded--I'd much rather believe that he's happy in his other pursuits now, and has fond memories from his time on tour. I sure miss him, though. Like, really, reeeally badly.

Thank you so much to everyone who's bringing such extensive and up-to-date information! You are all so generous for keeping us clued in!

There were lots of people when I got to Podium, an hour and a half before the event. Lots of teen girls... who screamed when Josh and Ben's names were called.

James Threadgill looked sooooooo adorable! He sat on the end of the row though (he was the last boy to sign), I couldn't get close enough for a picture. :( I wanted to take a picture with him!

Josh, on the other hand, sat at the other end (he was the first to sign in their group). That end we could have easily tapped his shoulder to make his turn around. Looking at the pictures I took, I realized I have lots of picture of him.

I couldn't get any of Ben since he sat in the middle. When I was having my CD leaflet signed, Ben was nice enough to offer a handshake... the bad thing was, my brain wasn't working. It took me three seconds to realized he was holding out his hand for a shake... :p

I chased Callum and Big Ben to get their autograph. I had brought my copy of "Free" since I wanted Steven to sign but he wasn't there! When I had Callum sign the leaflet he turned to me and says "That's my hand!" pointing to the hand on the cover. I was like... "Ooh."

I was taking a cab home so I went outside Podium after the boys left... and their bus was there. I had already put my camera away and had to scramble to find it in my *huge* bag! I think I have lots of pictures of their bus windows. :)

Can't wait for tomorrow's concert. If I didn't have work, I would be watching both shows... but as it was, I already skipped a couple of hours of work yesterday to get to Podium on time. :)

The autograph signing event was, to borrow words that Ben often likes using in interviews, great fun for everyone there. It was a chance not only to meet the boys but also for that only know each other by screen names to finally meet face-to-face.

The boys were great sports throughout and in spite of the fact that a few of them were noticeably feeling a bit too warm in spite of the mall AC firing on all cylinders.

You don't really get much time on top of the stage and you have to make choices. If you have them autograph your whole Libera album collection they will not be able to raise their eyes from the table much. If you talk to them after snapping the picture, they will not be able to look at what it is they are signing and the autographs go all over the place. I opted to talk to them so it goes without saying that the autographs look like something written in Sanskrit.

One thing that does help if you get a chance to be in a similar situation is knowing their names - not just those you are supposed to know but each and everyone. Believe it or not, they do respond to their names and more likely to look up at you when you call them. I remember a conversation here about two months ago about how Alfie Smart does not smile. I got this reaction to a simple "Hi Alfie, how are you doing..."

http://picasaweb.google.com/11783888796 ... directlink

(I used my iPhone. The lighting in the podium was bad. The boys look a bit too blue on most of my pics. I need to run the pics through editing.)

Meeting a parade strangers is not easy at any age and probably overwhelming when you are 11-12 but some of these guys go beyond the cursory smile-sign-say thank you routine. Ralph used alot of the breaks between autographs to wave at persons in the crowd. Kavana's engaging and talkative mood at the end of "Showtime" carried over to the autograph signing event and his well worded, well thought out thank you's are very endearing. Ben Philipp is one of the most likable people I have ever met. He never stops smiling and will engage absolutely anyone in conversation.

Callum was a big hit with the support. Earlier in the event he was taking pictures in the periphery and loitering. An hour into the event, he was on the other side of the cordon, talking with fans and signing autographs. We talked about how the popularity of LIBERA had grown from the days of their first tours to Japan into the fiesta we were watching. I told him as our conversation was interrupted for the umpteenth time by an autograph request that while the spotlight shines brightest on the soloists of the present the support will always remember with fondness, any one that has ever sung on a Libera album.

Having Ben close the event was (insert every adjective Ben likes using to describe their concerts here). It had been a long afternoon and everyone was tired. Suddenly, you have Ben oozing with energy and charisma inviting those present to a performance that is rapidly selling out. (I hope someone recorded that.) That injected life back into everyone and left us teased. If we could have that much fun just talking to them, imagine what is in store for us when they finally sing.[url]

Don't know about that, Yorkie. Maybe not the Japanese fans as a whole, but Japanese fans are everywhere. My sister reported seeing two Japanese fans yesterday.

And to all who have shared their experience, thanks for the reports!

Actually, if my memory serves me right I saw 5. :D A family, 3 women with a kid they even bought their Libera stuff from Japan even though it seems that they're already signed. And that beautiful japanese gal who I said was having trouble with communicating with the locals. She was filming all throughout the event!.

I guess other than being everywhere JP fans can be quite the fans when the opportunity is given to them. (the PH being quite close to Japan and all)

If they'd fly to Dublin to watch Libera, Philippines is a pretty easy option. Btw, Libera is on Myx now. Are you watching?

Some of the Japanese people in Podium yesterday were also here last October. :) And I think they did fly to Dublin. :)

I watched them in Myx. Were they only on for two segments? The one before "Fearless" and "Telephone" (that would be number 5 and 6)? :)

Hi Nikki, I wasn't able to see it because I can't find an online stream. There's supposed to be on again at 5pm, I think.

In other news, they now have 14,000 fans on Facebook. The legend grows...

Hmm... Good point. Forgot about the Rubik's cube. That was pretty impressive and creative that they come out with that. I want to buy one already... Hehe... :) Let Korea be number one. I think number two is still a good spot for the Philippines. We are the new kids in the block after all in terms of countries that Libera is touring.
