Well everybody has an opinion :)

Just what that reviewer personally felt.

You really shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

But do believe this. :)

The same reviewer also said it was Matthew's first solo which was woefully inaccurate. I have personally heard Matthew deliver that part 7 times now in the last 2 years. His delivery has been consistently fine all 7 times.

To be honest, I was a bit surprised to read this review too after reading how others on this forum described as the concert was perfect. But really, it's just a difference in perspective. That's all.

I'm sure he meant by it was HIS first time hearing Matthew RA's solo voice since there's no recording of it on Youtube or whatever.

I haven't heard Matthew RA's solo voice either but that doesn't make me a lesser fan. Well... hopefully.

I dont ever remember where i read that so i cant say. But everybody is allowed an opinion. Not everybody are as big fans as some of us on here.

Also i agree that for the younger boys criticism may sometimes hurt but it also means they improve.
Arundal for a lot of people last year was weak and yet in that 5 months time they improved 100% .
Would that of happened if everybody had lied and said " oh wow that was wonderfu and i was blown away " ?

At the end of the day when people buy tickets and spend a fair bit of money to travel then they have the right to criticize/praise as long as it is productive.

Wonderful point :)

And dont worry it does not make you a lesser fan. Some people on here tend to forget that not everybody goes on forums and knows eachs boys face and name.

Each review is as valid as the next one and that should not be forgotten which i think it has by the last few posts.

Thanks for the reviews everyone! I've been reading them out loud to my family, and they (most of them) are enjoying hearing about the concerts! only a few short days before I leave, and you best believe I'm going crazy!! Not quite as bad as I was in Epsom, but I'm getting there!!! By Friday I'll be bouncing off the walls!
My theatre director is mad at me though, cause I was supposed to have practice every day that I'll be gone, apart from Easter, to learn a Chicago accent, plus we open in 2 weeks, so I'll be missing a lot of rehearsal .. Oh well!!! seeing libera is sook worth it!! :) see y'all Friday!

(sorry for all the rambling, but I'm on my iPad so I can't really organize my thoughts! Plus I'm super excited!)

My apologies........from the review I read.....clearly the author was disappointed in Stefan's voice........since I was not at the concert personally...I have only to go by what I've read.....Maybe Stefan wasn't so bad, now that I've heard more than one opinion.....but let's not let our blinders get in the way as passionate Libera fans and review the performances objectively....I'd love to hear a review from a non Libera fan......

p.s. even on a bad day Stefan is still amazing......it's just he's set the bar really high...and when he doesn't perform to that.......well.....people tend to be disappointed...

Alright, I'll call this one out from that review as well. The author, who has been a fan for 6 months and never seen them live before, indicated that Stefan didn't live up to his pre-conceived ideas of how he would sound and therefore Stefan's performance was disappointing to him. This is a far cry from the informed opinions of those who have seen Stefan perform multiple times.

While I certainly am interested in and enjoy reading anyone's recollection of what they saw at a Libera concert, I do think it's important to consider the source when you are reading a "review."
If you, me, FDL or someone who has seen the group multiple times say there were problems, they have a basis for comparison.
To take the opinion of the ill-informed as gospel and spread it around as such is irresponsible. An example of where that kind of thing can lead is Lennes' contemplation of Stefan's "retirement" from Libera. I don't think Stefan's going anywhere anytime soon.

I have not spread it around, i helpfully pointed out why symphonica7 had said what they had said when two posts below all questioned why they had said what they had said!

Whether that's what he meant or not, it isn't what he wrote.

Either I didn't make myself clear or you are dodging the point.
My criticism of his review is not about whether he is a lesser fan or not but rather about whether or not he has a responsibility to gain some knowledge about what he is writing about, before he has his writings published.

I truly understand where you're coming from...but like I've hinted at earlier....if you've seen and heard Stefan perform live more than once....you are considered a die hard Libera fan....and therefore your opinion is biased.......not to say it's not correct, however, it's just fresh hearing an honest opinion from someone who is new to Libera......Maybe he compared Stefan's live performance to the Studio versions.....however, the author also had rave reviews of many other boys and Daniel in particular..... So I'm not sure he solely based his opinion on Studio performance vs Live performance.....maybe there is a little bit of truth in there??? Maybe?

I think I covered your first point in my last response, Dani. Everyone has an opinion obviously but there is a big difference between having that opinion and expressing it in a manner where it is available to read by anyone in the world for posterity.

I don't think it's productive to lie and I don't think it's generally productive to call out little kids by name for criticism. With those qualifiers aside, I completely agree with you.
While we may all slip occasionally  , we have been asked to be more vigilant about singling out individuals and I will try to comply and challenge others who refuse to.
