Hi Todd !! Nice to see you here !!LiberAeterna wrote:I decided on taking a special vacation to Ireland to see Libera perform last July/Aug.!! It was amazing seeing them perform with an orchestra in a concert hall for one performance and then in a beautiful church!! It was something I will never forget and I made some new friends there as well (one is a member here, Fan_de_Lok; Hi Patrick)!
You planning on going to the States then Patrick? By the way, been meaning to ask for a while - if they go to Arundel again this year do you have the name of a good hotel - I'm not driving there and back in the same day like I did for Edinburgh.fan_de_LoK wrote:Hi Todd !! Like you I imagine we are all waiting for the UK and US concerts announces, which may give us the opportunity to meet again
Cheers Patrick. It's a shame that they probably won't be going to Arundel - that cathedral looks spectacular and the Swan looks decent enough too!fan_de_LoK wrote:Going to USA : to be seen... depends on dates, locations, and so...
Arundel 2010 : Well, now I not believe on this location any more, because on wednesday last week the Cathedral have put online all events till june, and there is nothing about Libera.

Sure, this can be updated at anytime and a concert in Arundel is still possible, but I think the spring UK concert will be on another place this year
Nevertheless if you want an hotel recommendation in Arundel, last year I went to "The swan" which was very good
Hey Yorkie! Well, actually I work at a film soundtrack label and have spoken to a few composers over the phone. I noticed someone here is a fan of James Newton Howard and we work with him a lot. Also, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, Michael Giacchino(who just won an Oscar!) and many other current composers.Yorkie wrote:Hi Todd, welcome to our world. Do you meet any top recording stars in your line of work?

Any chance you know James Horner? I think he is one of the greatest modern symphony composers ever. His soundtrack recordings do not need the movie to succed. They are wonderful on their own.LiberAeterna wrote:Hey Yorkie! Well, actually I work at a film soundtrack label and have spoken to a few composers over the phone. Hey TEB! We have worked with Horner in the past but, unfortunately, I have not personally met or talked with him. I agree with you and am a fan of his scores as well. Some of my favorites: Glory, Braveheart, Legends of the Fall to name just a few. What are some of yours?TEB wrote:Any chance you know James Horner?
