It was amazing seeing them perform with an orchestra in a concert hall for one performance and then in a beautiful church!! It was something I will never forget and I made some new friends there as well (one is a member here, Fan_de_Lok; Hi Patrick)!
Hi Todd !! Nice to see you here !! :D

You planning on going to the States then Patrick? By the way, been meaning to ask for a while - if they go to Arundel again this year do you have the name of a good hotel - I'm not driving there and back in the same day like I did for Edinburgh.

Going to USA : to be seen... depends on dates, locations, and so... ;)

Arundel 2010 : Well, now I not believe on this location any more, because on wednesday last week the Cathedral have put online all events till june, and there is nothing about Libera.

http://www.arundelcathedral.org/events.htm

Sure, this can be updated at anytime and a concert in Arundel is still possible, but I think the spring UK concert will be on another place this year :)

Nevertheless if you want an hotel recommendation in Arundel, last year I went to "The swan" which was very good :)

Cheers Patrick. It's a shame that they probably won't be going to Arundel - that cathedral looks spectacular and the Swan looks decent enough too!

Thank you all for the warm welcome :D It is good to see you here too Patrick! I apologize if I am not able to post as often as I would like as I work long hours during the week and it has been quite busy lately and looks like it will continue for a few weeks. I will try and lend good discussion here though when I can. I did receive on Monday a gift from the heavens of the UK in the Peace album :D It worked out pretty good as Thursday was my birthday and this was a great way to celebrate it!! It is truly sublime and it was great to hear such fine new talent in the songs. I will post my comments on some of the other threads that are already started as I do have some interesting thoughts. Take care all of you!

Todd

Hey Yorkie! Well, actually I work at a film soundtrack label and have spoken to a few composers over the phone. I noticed someone here is a fan of James Newton Howard and we work with him a lot. Also, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, Michael Giacchino(who just won an Oscar!) and many other current composers.

Any chance you know James Horner? I think he is one of the greatest modern symphony composers ever. His soundtrack recordings do not need the movie to succed. They are wonderful on their own.

Hey TEB! We have worked with Horner in the past but, unfortunately, I have not personally met or talked with him. I agree with you and am a fan of his scores as well. Some of my favorites: Glory, Braveheart, Legends of the Fall to name just a few. What are some of yours?
