I took notes for the soloists, but the position and actions were mostly based on my memory. hahaha I wouldn't want to be wrong in writing a different name or miss out a boy so I wrote who did what.carina_gino20 wrote:Thanks for the description! I still can't get out of my head the image of them skipping (skip dancing) to Exultate.
Chix, did you take down notes or is that all from memory? If it's from memory, I'd pay you to take my finals.

Going by memory there were parts of "Libera" where they sang together and there were parts of the solos that they sang individually. Alfie's cool voice contrasted well with Stefan's high voice. I think it was a great combination.lacrymosa2 wrote:Hey chix,
Did Stefan and Alfie alternate the solos like Joe Sanders-Wilde and Michael Horncastle, or did they sing the solo together?
I just noticed that Cassius was imitating a cat by "meowing" starting from 2:22 of the autograph signing video.

They sang together during the verse part. Stefan did the higher parts while Alfie was harmonizing with him.phlibera wrote:Going by memory there were parts of "Libera" where they sang together and there were parts of the solos that they sang individually. Yes, Cassius was doing "meows" since the Autograph Signing at the Podium and the security were playing with him as well. hehehe

Thanks. Now I am really anxious to hear Stefan and Alfie's version of Libera.chix wrote:They sang together during the verse part. My mom just told me a while ago, that after what we did to Sam, he tapped Josh's arms and whispered "See I'm their favorite". hahaha Apparently Josh also do that to Sam when someone does something like that to Josh.carina_gino20 wrote:Hi Chix, I read what I presume is your report in 360. Thanks for sharing. Love what you did for Sam.

Thanks for the report Chix. It's all coming back to me now, thanks to your report.

Loved Sammy's speech. He actually used people instead of boys that made it funnier. Big people helping little people and then the really big people, who were in their position a few years ago, helping everyone. He added that it's a great system and it works.
And in the Fountain, Ben was with Ralph in the center. Did you remember this part? Was Ben harmonizing with Ralph? I can't quite remember.

Oh yeah, he used "people" hahaha Thanks! (I think I'll change that part of my review)phlibera wrote:Thanks for the report Chix. It's all coming back to me now, thanks to your report.

Yup Ben was with Ralph at the center, while singing the first part they were in semi circle form. Then Ben and Ralph started walking towards the center when they sang "Dolorosa, flumenosa, plorota". Ben sang the higher harmony with Ralph.

Thanks, I guess I wasn't really paying attention to details. Hehe... Because I kept on forgetting who did what. Thanks again.chix wrote:Oh yeah, he used "people" hahaha Thanks! By the way, you were at the Matinee, right? Did you catch Ben reading something from his palm in between two songs (which again I forgot in between what songs). It wasn't during his speech itself. I was smiling when I saw that. Probably their set list or key notes to his speech.
I didn't saw that! hahaha I saw him read something in between his speech though. hahaha Half of the time I was amused/distracted by Kavana because he's really fun to watch. So when I saw already who the soloist were I switch to Kavana's side again. (That's why in my side notes on my review most of it is about Kavana, Cassius and Mini James rather than James T, Flynn, Matthew etc.)phlibera wrote:By the way, you were at the Matinee, right? Kavana Crossley is a show unto himself. Everything he does, whether it's flick his hair, adjust his shoulders or throw his voice is a magnet for the audience attention. Alot
of people that are not as familiar with the boys individually noticed the animated dark haired one.
On a less visual note, I sat eight feet in front of Kavana for most of the matinee show and could hear his singing voice over the din of the ensemble. His vocals ranged from unusually low for an eleven year old to the top note of (if I remember correctly) "How can I sing". That's a rather impressive vocal range.
I am awed how well Ben Philipp's voice blends with that of Ralph Skan. Ben is clearly on top of his game as a treble. He has the confidence to be able to hit any note, high or low with the correct pitch and with the right length. Ralph has moments where he appears to be calculating the tidal volume needed to hit long notes. He hits them perfectly and the range he displays in "The Fountain" is awesome.
