Hmm, why ?
What's the difference between T-shirt, poster or a soft toy :? ?
Just because it seems like selling out . I dont like the idea at all . And in the u,k they have never sold bags or tee-shirts or soft toys.

Selling soft toys is what i expect off tacky people like justin bieber , its just another way to get little kids to spend more money. Thankfully Libera have an older fan base so we dont get that. Libera should not go the commercial route. They are not that kind of an act.

And if they did whats next , selling replica white robes?!
Oh, then it's a cultural difference :D For example, the company I work for have different soft toys (of course targeted to clients who have children).

Another example, I have a soft toy that was designed for Franklin Templeton funds (BTW, really international brand). And it bears a symbolism of bull and bear markets- it can be turned inside-out (and vice versa) to represent accordingly a bull or a bear! :D

And the way of selling will show if it has a commercial value, symbolism or just a way of support (and I was thinking the last two could be used).

The way you represent something greatly impact on how it appears.

But of course I respect your opinionas well ! Maybe the idea isn't suitable for all cases.

You are a very negative person dani!

If it raises money for them, then why not ?

But however, I can see this thread going off topic once again :(

How is that negitve?

And if you want to give money then donate money without the choir going down a commercial route which is not becoming of a church choir.

It seems like we've gone back winter. Light snow is now in the forecast for tomorrow morning, so I hope that stops before we're all waiting outside, lol! I plan on being there pretty early, like around 4. We'll see how smart of an idea that is tomorrow
At least it's not raining at present (where I am anyway).
I intend to bring a hat, an umbrella and a winter jacket.
I hope I don't have to use all of them today.

Looking forward to visiting with you in line....

I hope "crushed" wasn't the exact word used by whoever conveyed that message. That word to me entails some anguish and a certain amount of crying. It would be so sad if it were true. :(

I've read AV, the French forum, and some blogs and the universal consensus was that there were difficulties with the lights and sounds in the first concert. I don't see how anyone could be "crushed" with what was written so far.
Rather than focus on the exact wording it is my hope that we all, but particularly those who write for and publish blogs, reflect on how what is written and published can affect the boys in the band.
I don't think anyone involved is deliberately trying to hurt anyone's feelings but since that happened anyway, I'm hoping that we use the information we were given to become more aware before we opine. I thought Lexi did a good job of walking that line in her London review. 8)

So there is another show tonight, how many more after tonight?

If I do end up needing them, I hope getting around at the concert won't be too difficult... But I'm not going to any sports or dance practice this week to hopefully let it heal in time :)
Sorry to hear about that. It will make you easy to spot in line however.... :)

Quoted from Church of Our Lady Immaculate's bulletin :)
Thanks for that super news! Having Libera sing during church services has been a welcome part of the last few American tours. I'm pleased that it will continue here in Canada.

Anyway, I'm very happy about all the volunteers who supported their concert tour in different ways as I hear about the sold out venues! :D
There are CD's for sale Murksis. One of the tour sponsors is a music store in Kitchener and the owner of that store has been travelling to the concerts and selling CDs. What he is not able to offer for sale is Libera's latest release, Peace Deluxe.

Hmm maybe thats because of shortage on the album?

It seems to have sold really well so maybe the demand has outweighed the supply.

So you wouldn't buy a replica robe, Dani?

It takes a lot of cash to fund the performances we all enjoy attending. I'm okay with souvenirs being sold. The huge upgrade in program quality lately (Thank you Peachtree Presbyterian!) is an example of a souvenir worth having and paying for. I'm not sure that the replica moose would be a big seller......

no robe for me im afraid

I love the programs and its something a lot of us moaned about and got a result on as they used to be an A4 bit of photo copied paper in the u,k at least.
I personally would just rather donate money than get a stuffed toy but each to there own :)
I am sure this topic has been brought up on here before when some fans made teddy bears with hooded robes on them and i will admit those teddy bears did look amazing.

This debate is similar to the ground we covered yesterday.
One's perspective can definitely be influenced by how we
perceive the nature of the group.

I think loyal fans can't donate enough money to fund the
organization by themselves.
Therefore in an attempt to entice more revenue out of an indifferent public, selling souvenirs is acceptable to me.
