Tom Cully (he didn't solo in Oct 2009) and Ed Day (especially his solo in Mysterium). And Alex Leggett's version of Always with You. And I wish I could have seen more than one Liam solo performance live (Stefan sang Sancte in Oct 2009). I could go on...

Liam was so good on Libera in 2009 though, it was funny cause I think he made a speech and his voice was so low then he sang so high!

For me it would be those that were in the "Libera in Concert" video......plus solo's from Michael Horncastle, Big Ben, Liam O'Kane and finally Steven Geraghty.......I would of felt like I'd died and gone to heaven.....

I caught the Libera bug in spring of 09 and so far have been to four shows. Belfast in 09, St. Louis in 10 and 11 along with Chatham. I am perfectly happy with all the boys who were at each show but I was just a little disappointed that Zack Lockett was missing from the show at St. Peter's. I think he had just left Libera.

But there more than a few of the boys I missed out on who were just amazing in their primes years with Libera. Tom, Michael H., Chris Robson, Ben C., and Adam Harris just to name a few. In any case, the new boys are just as amazing and I look forward to them for years to come.

Nice one Adam had one of the best voices in Libera's history. His Lux Aeterna (from the debut album from 1999) is just wow...

Ah yes Lux Aeterna. The ethereal sound of Adam's voice is immortalized in that song. He's also one of the best descant singers Libera has ever produced.

Joe Platt was right up there too. He managed to get a few live solo concert appearances in at the very embryonic stage of Libera's touring cycle. Sadly that was at a time before even my interest was awakened. I wish for example I could have heard his solo on 'When a Knight...' Seen a little in promo clips but not the full song.

It would be fascinating to go back in time to hear how the early St Philips Boys Choir i.e. boys like Oliver Putland, Liam O'Kane, Adam Harris, Steven G would have performed in a 'libera' concert with all the lights, staging etc.. but alas those treble voices have now retired to the recollection of memories only.

Unless somewhere within the inner-sanctum, there are archive recordings of course. Probably tape-based if they haven't been digitalised.

Oh I love Joe Platt too. The bell like clarity of his voice is just incredible. I love Libera as a whole but I find myself more inclined to the 90s batch. Like I bought most of their old albums. And Oliver Putland's version of Be Still for the Presence of the Lord and Pie Jesu remain to be two of my favorites.
