I think that's jolly kind and nice of you - I want to hear a CD quality version of the song first on decent speakers before I'll award the gold medalplumpuff6 wrote:Yes, I definitely have to add Josh and Mini-Ben's "Time"! Such a great song.

The best duet for me is: Joe Snelling & Thomas Cully / Salva me
Well, the good news is you don't actually need to pick between those two because, in fact, neither of them is the bestNarnian wrote:... and now I have to choose between my previous favourites and Josh / Ben... and it's too hard. I like bothNarnian wrote:I am still Mr.Snelling's fan

Well done, "Time" singers
One really cool thing about the Time duet is in the middle during the transistion from Josh's part to Ben's. Josh is holding his note and Ben comes in just as Josh releases with one smooth flow. It just really impressed me.Yorkie wrote:Well, the good news is you don't actually need to pick between those two because, in fact, neither of them is the bestNarnian wrote:... and now I have to choose between my previous favourites and Josh / Ben... and it's too hard. Hadn't noticed that Tom, i spent so much time trying to get the lyrics I missed the detail.TEB wrote:One really cool thing about the Time duet is in the middle during the transistion from Josh's part to Ben's. I am still trying to get the lyrics. I can understand most of what Josh is saying but Ben, all I have at this point is " for all eternity" just at the end of each of his parts. I need to copy your lyrics down and read them while listening to the song with the video off.Yorkie wrote:Hadn't noticed that Tom, i spent so much time trying to get the lyrics I missed the detail.TEB wrote:One really cool thing about the Time duet is in the middle during the transistion from Josh's part to Ben's. Go to the pictures and videos forum, New Official Video thread, page 5. The only slight doubt is the first line of the last verse (does Ben sing Note or Dawn or Noon?) but the rest is pretty sorted.TEB wrote:Yorkie wrote:TEB wrote: I am still trying to get the lyrics. From my music ed classes, it was far easier for the trumpet players to hear the lead melody while trombone players could pick up the bass line easier than the trumpet players. As a wind player, I struggle to pick up lyrics until I've heard a song a million times. Usually I have to read the lyrics at least once AND listen to really know them.
Ben and Josh merge so perfectly it's hard to tell where one stops and another begins. It gives me goosebumps to listen to Time. Right now it's my favorite song ever. (But a month ago, Sanctissima was my favorite!)
I can't say I've had too much trouble hearing most of the lyrics (well, at least the English ones) to most Libera songs. Rap, Hip-hop, and heavy metal, on the other hand, can sometimes be on the befuddling side for me.irishoreo wrote:That is the same with me. I struggle so much with lyrics(primary instrument is trombone). I still have trouble getting all the lyrics down to my favorite Libera song Stay With Me. And in that instrumentalist theory im royally screwed because i've only played low instruments with exception of tenor & alto saxes and horn in F...Jenn wrote:Heh it's funny how different people are able to easily focus on lyrics while others hear the detail in the melodic line, and have to work at lyrics.

I do believe it is" The Note of Creation Rings".Yorkie wrote:[

Hum, Tom you do have a valid point, however the definition of a duet is a "composition for two vocalists or two instrumentalist". There is a possibility that 'Time' is just a rare exception of a duet considering it is mainly Josh and Ben singing albeit not together at any given point as you pointed out, but the song is mainly the two of them singing so it can be classified as a Duet.TEB wrote: I do believe it is" The Note of Creation Rings".
It makes since since the word "ring" is there and we tend to think of ring as the ringing of a bell and so on.
As far as duets go, Time is not really a duet. Josh sings seperatly and Ben sings seperately. I don't think they sing togther( duet) at any point, though I could be wrong.
