What do you think about Touch the Sky Jude..........

I rather like it myself :D
 Jeez, thanks Yorkie... wait, what's that sticking out of my back ??

To answer your question, ahem, it struck me the first time I heard it and I was taken aback by it. I listened to it a number of times more and, without wanting to appear disingenious, I thought that it was most un-libera-like and awful < ducks for cover>
You're welcome Jude, it's good to have you back amongst us. I know what you mean about it being un-Libera like. It is probably more mainstream than other tracks (Time might also be more mainstream I suppose).

I probably like it because I quite like the very intimate sound you get from mini-James - he's practically in your head if you listen through headphones.

One thing I would say is that with Time & Touch we have people other than RP writing and arranging songs. That will almost certainly bring a different style but it might not be a bad thing for the future of the group.

Indeed. In both album creation, and concert production, I think it's time RP delegates some of the work to the younger ones and shape them to continue what he started once he retires.

I think RP has a good few years left in him yet - don't write him off too soon :D

And don't you just love it when their voices suddenly soar in the chorus? Beautiful.
Definitely, most especially the chorus immediately following following the coda "The night is dark and I am far from home..."

Joe what coda? i dont remember there being a coda O.O...especially at that section :?

im the same as Jude on this one i think Ave Virgo and Faithful heart are the stand out tracks.

i also dont think touch the sky is very Liberaish, but i still think its a good start for Mini James.

It's after the second chorus. I think mini-Ben sings that solo.

hum must reevaluate AGAIN grrrr.....

As far as touch the sky goes i agree with yorkie(uuugh) that it may not be a bad thing, could be a general direction that most agree on going in and they are just testing the waters with touch the sky

It's more of a bridge. It's the last line sung by a solo before the ensemble picks up the last refrain leading into that top note.

Don't worry about having to listen to it again. It is a beautiful song...

Had "Ave Virgo" not found its way towards "Peace", "Lead, Kindly Light" would have been my favorite track. It's simply beautiful- from lyrics to music. It's really nice that that song or poem was given a Libera interpretation. It just so happens that I thought Tom Cully nailed "Ave Virgo". Mozart-Prizeman-Cully is a killer combination.

The most interesting part in Peace for me is the 'conclusion' : Touch the Sky and The Fountain

The Fountain is a spellbinding song, no doubt. Ralph Skan. Enough said.
