another one for the compilations list;

9. Sacris Solemnis
15. Angelis
16. Jubiliate
Warner Classics quick out of the starting blocks releasing a CD to commemorate London 2012 Olympics. A few songs from their back catalogue when they were libera's record label in the days of Liam O'Kane, Adam Harris etc...
It's also the second Olympic themed CD that Libera have been included on, sitting alongside the 2004 Athens compilation 'Harmony' which included Voca Me. You can see this on the first page.

Re: Compilations collection
Ooohh So great !!
Thank you very much Jimmy !!
This one will be the 128th compilation CD having Libera known so far
Currently the compilation list is updated only on the french forum (here) because the bbcode for arrays is less convenient on Libera Dreams forum.
I think my only solution to host the full list here on Libera Dreams forum will be to get ride of the array layout and just copy-paste here the images and texts as is, but the visual display will be chaotic for sure
In the future, maybe this list can be hosted into a sub-part of the Libera discography pages on Libera Dreams web server? (if this interests Paul and Tony of course).

Re: Compilations collection
Well, it seems to be a MP3 compilation only, not a real CD
Or maybe the purchase of a physical CD will become available after the release date ?

Re: Compilations collection
A new compilation CD from serie "AURA" will be released on 4th of April.
http://tower.jp/item/3066420" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
EMI Ref. : TOCP-71270
Libera is said to be one of the various artists of this compilation, no information yet on the track selected.
The CD is said "Drama and Cinema", so it could be "You were there" or "Song of life".
Edit : the track list is known, it's Song of Life, the 4th track.

Thank you again JimmyJimmyRiddle wrote:another one for the compilations list;

When you reported that compilation in January I only was able to find it available as MP3 compilation.
But this morning it was reported again by Kazuyo "minibenben" on twitter and now it seems to have been turned to a physical CD :
Proposed here on Amazon, released on 4th of June, here on Presto Classical, released on 5th of June, or here on Tower records Japan, releases on 20th of June.
So I'm entering it into the compilation list

Re: Compilations collection
Hi Jimmy,
I didn't thank you as I should have done, you are a great finder and your treasures are very precious for this compilation's quest !
Thank you very much Jimmy !!
At first your Vampire Masterpieces plunged me into trouble, because it's a MP3 compilation, not a physical CD, and so it was not fiting the rules I gave myself about what I wanted or not in the compilations collection.
I wanted to avoid MP3 compilations because there's plenty of "fan made" MP3 compilations over the Internet and I didn't wanted to have bootlegged compilations referenced. Also because I felt even legit MP3 compilations to be not really involving the disk company. I mean, there's not a deep work for a guy from a label to produce an MP3 compilation, it can be created in a snap.
I thought that a physical CD was only reliable sign of the real will of the company to have a Libera track selected to appear on a compilation.
But after reflection I finally changed my point of view about rejecting the MP3 compilations.
I agree they can be added to the list if it's proven to be a real official compilation, I mean : sold on a known site like Amazon, Saintsburry, or so, having a reference catalog number and a release date.
I found recently plenty of new compilations, some MP3 but mostly some CDs one. Many of them found through an Norvergian site hosting an APi that allows requests on the Spotify database. With the 3 compilation above you reported Jimmy, I'm now late by possibly 10 or 12 compilations to add to the list !!
I should start to think on another way to host the list than on the french forum....
Even if the BBCodes for tables there is mush easier to use than from LD, it's going to be heavier and heavier and it don't allow updates from different persons. I should find something like a text database that can the easily be associated with a html pages generator...

Re: Compilations collection
Hi FDL
Yes, I know what you mean about MP3 only compilations. It's a tricky one because digital downloads are soon to overtake sales of Physical CD's so it appears many more reputable sellers will be releasing albums in this way. Some of them exclusively so. Absolutely 'unofficial/pirate' sources should not be acceptable but maybe you could have MP3 'verified' compilations chart seperate from the physical CD chart?
Could there be webspace available on liberadream.com to create a page which can host your compilation charts?
'of course even reputable official sources can appear to get a little carried away when producing their MP3 only offerings;
47 Luminosa Libera 5:41
http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.a ... racklist=T
....
(I look foward to checking out your compilation updates)

Re: Compilations collection
There's lot of work ahead, with your 4 above and the CDs and MP3 compils below !!(I look foward to checking out your compilation updates)
I think I will start by putting all datas into a micro database structure (Excel) and useit to produce automatically the BBCode.
This would allow an easy way to make the versions for both LD and french forum,
and if a more efficient method than BBCode is defined later, at least the data would be easily usable from the Excel file.

I Don't know if I add them to the list... There's already other reuses of the Angel voices CDs though...
The April compilation :
The May compilation : BEAUTIFUL SONGS WHICH REMAIN IN MY HEART (TOCP-71490)

The Libera song used is "Far Away", the Michael Horncastle recording.

Re: Compilations collection
The new compilation list is now onlineJimmyRiddle wrote:(I look foward to checking out your compilation updates)
Currently on the french forum only, but it shouldn't be too long before I can post it here in LD.
http://libera-passion.exprimetoi.net/t1 ... -de-libera
The changes :
- the data are now stored in Excel,
- Excel creates automatically the BBCode that I have then just to copy-paste on the forum,
- I added background colors, the barcodes, the countries,
- the list has now 167 compilations (was 141 in February).

Re: Compilations collection
I wanted to edit and update the message above but due to edit restriction imposed on Libera dreams ( ) I can't.
Yesterday Libera Official posted on their Facebook a reminder about the Amazon commission system.
So I followed their example and I added the Amazon Libera tags to all the links pointing to an Amazon site
About posting the compilation list here on Libera Dreams, it's totally stopped, due to the edit restriction.
It's not possible to maintain and edit a list of anything with an allowed edit period on three hours...
