That article calls them a " 9 member group" so anything they say has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I think you could excavate a whole salt mine for that article lol Oh well maybe it was aimed at the younger (teenage girl) type of audience. No doubt it makes that tricky relationship between the different demographic of libera fans and how they see the choir/boy band even more complex and problematic.

That article was a little weird, I must say. I'm a teenage girl, and honestly, that wouldn't wanna make me see them... (if I wasn't a huge fan!)... I wouldn't even begin comapring them to Justin Bieber... like comparing apples to oranges...

The article compared Libera to Justin Bieber twice and that just throws me off the cliff, twice. 9-member group is just a slap on the face.
"The comparison to teen superstar Justin Bieber is inevitable."
Uh... I think it's absolutely avoidable. What do they have in common? Age! what a big deal. Josh even isn't in the touring group! Although I do agree with that youtube comment. Lol.
Gosh. This article supposed to help concert ticket sales. I hope it does its purpose-_-

Lexi also wrote something about the boys not feeling well --

Haha... I hope the fact that Justin Bieber is from Canada will help sell tickets.
The article did say this:
But the group is mainly heralded for its ethereal sound, at once classic and original. “It’s pure English boy choir sound. It’s a unique sound all to its own,†Carere said. “The high voices. The treble sounds. No basses. Just a couple of tenors. Mostly that high treble young boy sound.â€
But I don't think that would help sell more tickets than the name drop of a Canadian superstar.
More importantly (to me, at least) the article mentioned that Libera will join the
high mass. I don't know how they use that term in other countries, but a high mass here in the Philippines meant, among other things, a lot of singing. So hopefully Libera will be singing more than 2 songs. I won't be there so it wouldn't mean much to me either way, but at least to the people in attendance it will.
And let me just say that the Church of our Lady Immaculate is one beautiful church!

Lexi wrote:Went to the best Filipino restaurant last night. Some may have heard of Max's. The fried chicken literally melts in your mouth. The beef was reeeeaaallly good, too. Had 2 desserts we've never heard of before. One was called halo-halo. Liked it a lot. Did not realize there are 400,000 Filipinos living in Toronto! The place was packed!
Looking forward to tonight's concert!

I don't know why, but this paragraph makes me smile and smile and smile.
Glad you enjoyed Max's fried chicken. I didn't even know they have branches outside the Philippines. As fried chickens go, Max's is one of the best I've tried.
Halo-Halo ("halo" means "mix" in English) is not just a popular dessert here in the Philippines, it's also a popular snack during summer (in which we are now at the moment). I've tried Max's before, but my favorite is the cheaper one offered by another popular food chain here in the country. I wonder if Libera tried halo-halo while they were here last year during their summer promo tour of Peace. Last year's summer was record-breaking in terms of high temperature.
What's the other dessert?

Arrived in Kitchener.
Special update for Rebecca: Currently there are snow flurries. I thought this was just supposed to happen yesterday.....
At least we won't be waiting outside in crummy weather today!

Thank you Maartendas
Which is why Patricks post is uncalled for in this case as even people who work in Libera had said they have had some bad thoats.

Thanks everyone for all the great updates on the concerts so far. I'm happy to see everyone that has attended have had a great time

. My Mom and I are departing tomorrow for the concerts! First, we will be in upstate NY to visit relatives for a few days and then we'll drive across the border to Hamilton on Friday ready for the first concert. I'm really looking forward to seeing Libera again and meeting all the fans

. Also, it's fantastic Libera will be singing Mass on Easter Sunday too because it's like getting an extra chance to hear their beautiful singing!
I have a question regarding the will call tickets. It seems they are only available for pick-up about an hour or so before the concert. Have there been separate queues for people who already have their tickets and for people with will call? Also, it seems the queue has started around 3PM or so but if we have to wait outside I do not see me convincing my Mom to wait that long in the cold! See you all soon!!

I think I need another beer after reading all that - and believe me I've had more than one too many this weekend.
And I used to think it was me that started all the fights round here
Anyway, it seems that after a bumpy start they are really getting in to their stride now. So jealous

Any news on possible concerts later in the year (PM me if it's not public - but any help in booking time off and travel tickets as far in advance as possible is appreciated).

Personally i wonder if them not doing Japan this year will mean limited funds for the rest of the year and means they may not tour as far in the Summer.

Some people here seems to pleasure themselfs talking always about negative things...

Thanks for the diagnose Mrs House

Patrick you called another member on here basically a lier. When it has been confimed by Libera's own team it is in fact that some of the boys have been under the weather.
So not at all negitive. Just pointing out the fact that the poster was indeed correct in his statement and was not spreading malicious gossip which you indicated they was.
