I wouldn't worry about this having any effect of future engagements in the Philippines. 'Libera' are not going to let one person spoil their relationship with the vast majority of decent, well mannered fans.

I expect Andy Winter (in my oppinion a legend in the continued safety and security of the Libera boys over the past years) had his eye on this guy, and I think after watching his 'unauthorised' creepy behaviour in the Libera dressing room, he'll be sitting back this morning with a nice cup of tea, feeling wholesomely vindicated in his actions.

This 'chukkoi' guy is more focused on self promoting his own interests. It was 'his' name that he made Josh read out first on the card he gave him. His full name! He should not abuse the boys trusts by using them as a shop window for his own benefit.

Andy Winter was right in expressing that they don't need that kind of mistrust, and he'll be around a long time after this self centred parasite has crawled away into his dark recess.

They are in a rush to sign as much stuff as possible and so he should not of sworn but he is within his rights to say move along your holding up the line.

And it seems this guy is always around the boys and at autograph meetings and stuff so it comes across as obsessive and it could raise concerns.

Well said Jimmy !!

This Chukkoy guy have obviously a very high opinion of himself, in his video he's refering himself as if he was representative of not more than all Filipino fans :?

Shame on this whimpering jerk

Hmmh, very interesting. I don't know and have never met Andy Winter. As Jimmy has said, I understand that he does undertake the safety of the boys as one of his responsibilities. I have spoken to other fans who have a low opinion of Mr Winter because they view his methods as rather strong handed.

I couldn't make out what he said (I'm at work and the crappy headphones I have aren't up to much) but I'm sure Mr Winter regrets swearing in front of the boys. As others have suggested it is unlikely that he would have done this without some sort of prior provocation. Swearing can't be condoned but lets not shoot Andy down in flames for protecting the boys from somebody who was out to exploit them.

Re selling autographed stuff - yes I remember the guy from last October selling things - he said he wasn't really a Libera fan. Enough said.

p.s. If he was so upset why did he wait until Tuesday to post his video - very fishy me thinks.

p.p.s. Can't think it would stop Libera going back to see their thousands of nice fans in the Philippines - the chaos with flights and getting back home might take some getting over though.

All in all it is things like this that have probably resulted in M&G stopping in other places (see Arundel thread). It's a shame but you begin to see why Libera don't take the risk when stuff like this happens.

The poster said that Andy said, "Don't do those shit."

From his FB page, I think it's not unfair to say that the guy loves attention.

Wow, I was away for two days and so much has been said. I just catched up on the Andy Winter issue. Though I've got to say, it was one of the Filipino guards that irritated me (just a small bit though) during the RCBC M&G.

I was with my friend and we had a poster signed. But at the end of the line my friend saw Callum and had him sign her CD. I got a bit excited and went to take her picture with Callum... a few seconds later I realized I forgot the poster. I went back and it wasn't there!

I had to get another on and re-do the signing and my friend and I was so embarassed we couldn't even look at any of the boys as we did round 2... the guard looked at me like I was up to no good. :| But that's his job so it's fine. :)

Ooh, and I remember last October. Didn't the group almost miss their flight because of a storm in the Philippines which grounded most flights?

I hope that issue indeed does not affect the whole Libera people to come visit here, I would be totally devastated if they list off the PH as a possible venue. Having CD's is fine, but going to an actual performance is an entire different thing. And having the M&G's is a nice way to make you appreciate the whole Libera ensemble from it's current members to even it's former members.

Oh, and that youtube poster is just so Troll material. GEEZ.

Absolutely. Shame that 300 people filing through, behaving impeccably and doing exactly the right thing. Then it just takes one to spoil it. Why does life have to be like that? Always focused on the negative of minority and not the positive of the majority.

Maybe in hindsight Andy Winter should have not swore, I think we're all agreed on that. Retrospect is a great thing. It's a shame that Josh was caught up in it. He was just being his usual accomodating self. Nice of 'chukkoi' to not care about that. If he had not handed Josh his self promoting literature to read out, none of this would have happened.

Speaking of self-promoting "literature", Mr. Winter didn't react immediately without reading through the paper. So I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Don't go back to that video and check and add views. Trust your memories.  Mr. Winter read what was written first before shooing Mr. Publicity-seeking non-Libera fan. So it's entirely possible what was written was a real piece of shhh for Andy Winter to react that way. :)

I hear something like "Don't do this s**t" faintly in the background, but it could easily be something else, and it's after Andy waved the guy off. The accent is difficult mto make out, it could be Filipino. Andy's face isn't shown so we can't even tell if he's speaking.

I agree. Could somebody be saying 'That's it?'

I've read some of the supportive messages in this thread, and for these I thank you all.

Just for the record, I actually said "This is not a video shoot" Apart from that I stand by my action in asking this person not to record an individual message from each of the boys, according to his script.

Kind regards

Andy Winter

Thanks for setting the record straight Andy.

My personal experience for after concert meet and greet in Manila last year was great, and I do believe that guy had crossed a line there, the fact that he posted that video on youtube only goes to show his true colour, it's just a little sad seeing the wonderful experience spoiled by one of these people.

Anyway, hopefully the crew and the boys are alright after that epic trans continental dash home, have a good rest, Some of our lucky members here are going to see your performace in Arundel very soon!

Thanks for clearing this up Mr. Winter and I do support you guys in doing whatever it is best for the kids.
