Just for the record, I actually said "This is not a video shoot" Apart from that I stand by my action in asking this person not to record an individual message from each of the boys, according to his script.
Kind regards
Andy Winter
we all stand behind you mr. winter.

Thank you for clearing this up, Mr. Winter. Sorry that this happened to you but you have our support. Hope that video gets deleted soon.

Thanks for clearing things up. I for one would not have been mad if you had said what that man claimed you said.

If you are indeed Andy Winter then I'm glad to have you set the record straight. Even with better speakers I couldn't make out what was said so I was never 100% certain there was anything untoward.
With hindsight swearing would have been understandable and chinning him wouldn't have been out of order (as a non-Christian I don't have to turn the other cheek

).
I also had a laugh at some of the comments on the now infamous YouTube thread - especially the one about what does Andy Winter know, he isn't a performer!.
See you in Arundel.

I hope this incident doesn't give you a bad image of the Filipino fans. We're mostly happy people.

And we understand that that was what you had to do since there was a long line of people waiting to have their CDs/posters signed.

I am a Filipino (not philippino as written elsewhere) but i would have to side with mr. winter on this incident if that was indeed what he said as he claimed.
It's ok to have pictures autographed and have videos, everyone was doing it but that guy went overboard asking to have his friends greeted. Maybe one would've been enough.
I read he is the same person who showed Libera backstage room on their tv guesing. I wonder if he got permission.
I also saw a video he made back in October at PICC and he said in front of Tom, "Here's Tom who used to do a lot of solos." In my opinion, that was rude. Tom just shook his head.

I agree that was rude. I think insensitive is the better word. USED TO... that 2 words..

I just find it uncanny that a Mr Winter would SUDDENLY appear when the incident took place. What more creating an account very very recently after the incident.
But IF you are Mr Winter, I don't think you deserve that kind of publicity. And I hope things would get better soon.

Yes this is the same guy. And what's worse is that some people actually used that video as a proof on how Tom is supposedly not very "friendly" to fans. That's the word they use, "friendly". It was in fact in that conversation that I first saw his video of the PICC autograph signing. Because I asked them that "perhaps it was an awkward question?" And they point me to that video. And my reaction after watching it is the same as yours Benj. How do they really expect Tom to react with that statement. I infact found Tom's reaction to be very graceful and humble and I think he handled it well.

I was there at both autograph signing (afternoon and evening) sessions, I was able to have quick exchange with the 23 members in the table just fine. Both times I was there it went fine. I had a pleasant experience. So don't let this one user paint a picture of what actually happened there. Certainly not this Youtube user.
This guy too sells his autographed items. I don't have much respect for anyone who sells autographed items, especially somebody who supposedly is a fan. If you don't want autographed items then don't go to the signing. Or give it to other fans. Selling them gives us a hint what this guy is all about really (as far as Libera is concerned, don't want to judge the whole person) and why he's there lining up for the signing.
I had no prior knowledge of the poster selling the autographs, but the entering the locker room/dressing room and rummaging the artist's items are wrong. In fact, Andy would have every reason to be dissatisfied with the YouTube user.
you can see the comments on the PICC video on him selling autographed items and ticket stubs.

I think he was just insensitive. He has already said that he doesn't follow Libera that much (at least at that time), so he doesn't know the unwritten rule that you never ask or comment about a boy's voice change
to his face.
Also, Tom was very friendly during that signing.

Well, I think based on other videos of the autograph signings of the Philippine tour last October 2009, Tom, like every other member of Libera present in the tour (which is exactly the same lineup as this year's visit with the exception of Luke and Cassius) was very gracious and accomodating and friendly. They can't all be like Mini-Ben in terms of personality, but a person's reservedness shouldn't be taken as unfriendliness.
I hope that Tom's and Ed's schedules free up in time for their next visit to the Philippines. Both are still listed as members of Libera in their latest album
Peace. I hope both can make it to the Philippines next time so that I can finally see and listen to "Air" performed live.
