Yes very nice performance, sound levels a bit low but still great at the chorus parts. I should be able to share it soon, it could be taken straight down by the BBC. They can be random at times, leaving it there for years or instant removal.

Here it is...may take a few minutes to process in full HD

Thank you, Jimmy! I've just listened to it and they were very good. I agree that the sound balance wasn't perfect but I think it was quite close there.

It's a bit shorter, but I really like this version too. The song still sounds gorgeous, and the last sentence sung by the whole choir creates a different effect, which I do enjoy. :D

Thanks from me too. Jimmy.
Following the Libera performance on the Big Sing, the choir sung a medley of "favourite English hymns" that included Jerusalem. I was thinking as I listened that it must be ten years now since Libera performed this song - the mini-Ben version - and how great it would be to hear it performed again with one of today's fine soloists.
A warm Happy New Year to everyone from western Canada where the temperature this morning was a refreshing minus 28 degrees celsius!

Many thanks, Jimmy, for making the video available to us! :)

I've watched it several times, really well filmed. I love the part from 1:42 to 1:52 when Libera sings that soaring, repeating "He is watching us", and the camera's perspective mirrors the watching: going upwards into the distance, and when the boys arrive at "from a distance", the camera has reached its longest distance. I find that brilliant.

Yet another thank you to Jimmy for your help in allowing all of us to see this video!

The descants are extra audible at around 3:12; very impressive job by what appears to be Leo and Taichi. Shame that they revised the song to exclude Merlin's solo at the end - probably to conserve on-air time.

Thank you very much JimmyRiddle. Here's another recording that shows the first 7 minutes of the show:

What a great way to start the new year! :D
If I would want to send a current Libera video to someone who didn't know them, I would probably send this one. Beautifully directed with lots of close-up shots giving us a feel of the different harmony parts. Combine that with a luscious accompaniment and yet another showcase of how they are able to sing in front of a huge crowd and a dozen cameras with seemingly effortless ease.

Extra thumbs up for those shining high notes around 3:11 - is that Taichi?

Libera published the video on their official YouTube channel.

P.S. Can it be, that someone at Libera did read our previous complaints about the lack of possibility to watch the performance legally?

I think, it's at least Taichi and Leo.

Thanks to you, andmar. And to Libera of course. That's best now!

I've just edited my above post, because by mistake I first wrote "from a distance" instead of "He is watching us", but that was the point that I admire: how the camera is imitating the watching.

I like Merlin's friendly smile, it caught me already in Vallendar. He seems so pleased. :)
