Nah, it was probably me. It does sound exactly like his speaking voice, but I guess that Mini-James singing voice just sounds a lot like Kav's speaking voice!

Nope, Dani that would be me...
Wrong on "Touch the Sky"
Wrong on "Lacrymosa"
Wrong on "Ave Virgo" (but very happily wrong here)
I am just about ready to be declared legally deaf...

i just have to have a moment to gloat:
i was told by quite a few people here that Kavana was the soloist on Touch the Sky, and they were 100% sure, and i was very wrong.
well, I was right, it is Mini-James!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
moment over, now I will listen and cry to Tom Cully's "last" solo. Ave Virgo was my favorite anyway of these new songs!!!!!

lol, same here.

I am now completely convinced that a boys singing voice can sometimes sound nothing like his speaking voice... And a boys singing voice can also sound incredibly similar to another boys speaking voice.

The tone, phrasing and the little voice "quiver" are all the same... So its either a track recorded prior to Tom's voice change, or there is new voice in town to rival Tom's!
It pains me to say this (you know I don't like to disagree) but no way is it Tom (past, present or future). I'm still giving it to Ed but that is partly because I can't see Ed doing any of the other songs.
Well, I was right about something

Yeah, but now you have to admit that I was right.

Its not likely you've ever done that before!

Just kidding.

I am a very responsible person...
When something is a bit off-tangent, I am often responsible...

Well done Libera36 for correctly picking Tom as the soloist for Ave Virgo. Lots of us mentioned that Ed and Tom do have similar sounds to their voices, but I just wasn't brave enough to put my bets on Tom.
Stunned by the news that he managed to get a solo, and regardless of how long ago it was recorded, it means that his amazing solo career is extended further on yet another CD release. Well done Tom!! 2001-2010 wow!!
