Yes, you are true, they don't post everything, like their participation in "The Greatest Miracle" soundtrack or their presence on stage at the "Carter USM" concert.

So I want to keep hoping they will be at the SoP event, but it's still strange that Libera's name is not used on the sites linked to the event...

Well, anyway we will know at least in 12 days now ;)

Aled Jones was on "The One Show" today (kind of a talk show in the UK) to talk about the songs of praise special, no mention of Libera at all (despite a 10minute intro to the specials etc)! was disappointed :( the trinity boys choir were on too - no sign of Stefan though!

I find it hard to beleve that there is no mention of Libera appering on SOP, but I would also find it odd if they did not appear on the 50th special so i'm sure they will. Maybe they will announce will only little notice.

Thank you Danieb88 :)

But it's not a very positive news, this is not going to reassure me :|

Hypothesis : maybe Libera had not enough time to prepare that event ?
- They came back from USA at mid-August and the boys left the group for vacation with the family.
- Then they turned back just to go school, so not many free time available,
- And There is the Philippines tour to prepare, with possibly lot and lot of work caused by the numerous new songs to present on stage from the Christmas album.

To my point of view it's quite possible and understandable that they have renounced to be present at the SoP event, because it's a matter of feasibility and priority, and this SoP event is surely less important than the Philippines concerts.

But beyond this hypothesis, it's especially the fact that Libera is absent from the artists lists mentioned by the various sites (including now from SoP itself) which makes me think greater and greater every day that they may have waived their participation at the SoP event (still hopping I'm totally wrong).

Anyway, the artists list is great and the price is cheap, so not a problem :)

I sent them an email a couple of days ago asking whether they will confirm Libera's attendance or not. I have mobility problems, so will jettison the idea of going if they're not going to appear. If I receive a reply, I will let you all know.

In fairness, Aled Jones did only mention the headline artists and did not refer to the various choirs making up the mass choir.

I did the same thing shortly after the news came out and haven't heard from the organisers since.

Stefan is in Vienna. :D

I'll be surprised if Libera DOESN'T sing for the SOP 50th anniversary. We've seen in the past how much they are involved in and can get done in such a short amount of time. I get exhausted for them, but they never seem the worse for wear. :D

Oh, just to clarify: my e-mail was not to Libera, but to the people of the event. (Don't know why I didn't think of e-mailing Libera themselves..)

Yes! sad a little, but only because I wanted to meet up with fellow Libera fans also.
But maybe we can meet up for the BE show on Saturday ?

Which, I have to say, is mind-numbingly dumb on their part!
